No buying unnecessary toiletries in May - Challenge

I'm IN for May! This month I will not buy any makeup, I have more than enough already! I don't think I'll need any toiletries either and I'm on track for a couple of Soap and Glory UUs. First UU today:
Benefit Porefessional sample (7.5ml): WNBA as I don't think it didn't anything but I don't have oily skin or huge pores. This has lasted me 4 months+ of daily use! Is it this that's the Benefit freebie with Glamour next month?
A Benefit freebie IN from Debenhams - free skincare sample when you show your Beauty Card - Benefit Moisture Prep Toning Lotion 8.9ml. The little bottle is glass and very cute!0 -

yes it is along with that gal or bad gal lash.
I've got the professional, i don't like the way it makes my skin feel. it makes it feel really strange when you apply it. doesn't make my make up stay on longer either! tbh with me its like my pores work overtime to get rid of the stuff in them to make them look less noticeable! :rotfl:0 -

Thanks, I'd like to try That Gal as I need all the brightening help I can get in the morning!! I tried Bad Gal when it was the Glamour freebie last time (3 years ago? or more) and I wasn't a fan. At least I won't be buying 3 mags this year.0 -

I could say they were freebies but since I bought two copies of the magazine solely for the nail polishes then I can't use that defence
Oooh what magazine, ive been avoiding looking, but now I know... I want these lol. I am doing lots of nail painting practice at the moment as I am retraining in September in beauty therapy0 -

I've just pinched a load of soap from the drawer to make washing stuff as I only had a half bar in the cupboard. I've gone for a different recipe this time and have made dry laundry powder. The recipe is 2 cups finely grated soap, 1 cup borax and 1 cup soda crystals. Mix together and add a capful to each wash load. I have used half of DH's ted baker soap on a rope as he hadn't got round to it yet and it was waving at me
. I've also opened a couple of other soaps to put in the drawer as scented drawer jobbies. This will help the. To dry out too in case I decide to use them for my laundry rather than buying cheap cheap soap. It depends really, I quite like having a bar of soap in the dish and it seems the rest of the family do too. I've noticed the kids are much more inclined to use a bar of soap and a flannel on their faces than they are a liquid soap. Probably the same as me and hate the slimy feeling on their faces! Unfortunately, I now can't stop sniffing and sneezing. It must be all the powder I've ingested

Forgot to mention a UU yesterday Gok body butter, the one with gold bits in it. Lovely stuff. Just been to the papershop at work for magazine with freebies of course but they didn't have any so will look in town after the gymDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Just UU the no7 hand cream with SPF sample size. WIBA?: no. I have another in stash already. I didn't like this much at all. It's greasy and doesn't smell that nice really. I will use the other one unless my sister wants it but after that, I will be quite happy using my loved body butters on my hands. I don't really go in for hand cream much anyway but I have a few tubes of TBS hemp hand cream which (IMO) is far better at nourishing my hands than this stuff anyway. Should I feel the need for something with SPF in it, I will just use sun cream
. My hands don't look old and wizened anyway unless I've been at work and then they're wrecked! I will make more effort to put hand cream on on my way to bed in the mornings and at night though.
I'm still liking the bb cream I bought, I put it on this morning before I left the house, despite not being fully made up.
Let's hope my skin improves with prolonged use eh?
I have also just made a room fragrance jobby. Mainly because I cleaned out the car and it smells like wet dogs (I don't have a dog). I added loads of lavender essential oil to a spray bottle with about 20ml white vinegar then topped up to 200ml with water. Gave it a shoogle around and then sprayed. It now smells nice and fresh and the vinegar smell will go but does a good job of deodorising. I know it's not strictly toiletry related but could be a way of using up unloved perfumes or overstocked essential oils. Even nice scented toiletries which don't work on you could be tried out like this.

Two UU to report.
52. ESPA Lift &Firm Eye Moisuriser 7ml.WBA. Amazing, eye bags disappeared. Only problem is thecost, I will have to keep stalking it until I find a deal somewhere.
53. ESPA Lift & Firm Intensive Serum. WMBA if could findat good price, but not so amazing as the eye moisturiser.
Just the moisturiser from the ESPA try me kit left to finish now. It was well worth the money, all the products have been good and I knew it was a brand I might decide I would not want to spend out on afterwards.
I have earmarked two Lush cleansers for UU next, Ultrabland and the solid one with the moon face on, latter ok, but Ultrabland now seems too heavy for my skin, about half a tub left so will try it for one more day, then decide if it is to be a TA
KAZ2904, we do have a dog! so might try your air freshening trick, I think it would have to be Lavender to get it past OH though. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
UU
timotei vivid colour conditioner 300ml - WNBA it was nice at first but my hair got used to it too quickly and it stopped working, if that makes sense? Smells lovely though
I keep looking a samples of things, but really cant afford it this monthStill 16 days until payday  With having to buy everything for the house it's been very difficult. However I'm doing 4 hrs overtime tomorrow (sat pah, but is time and a half
), then an extra three hours tues and three on wed, so when payday finally does arrive it will be very worthwhile, and I can buy those lovely samples
to find my HG product :j
