As long as the seller is pro-active, and defines certain criteria and conditions to accept various payment methods, it is not a problem.
There is nothing in eBays or Paypals policies that bans you from highlighting the safety regulations that you as the seller follow to accept various payment methods.
It than becomes up to the buyer to decide if these are terms he will accept, for me this has always been black or white, nothing in between!0 -
It is very easy to say but eBay says we have to use Paypal, and not have the ability to think yourself and take responsibility yourself for the actions of others.
However by specifying the the criteria, there is no where you are breaking eBay rules or policies, you actually just enforcing Paypals own set of rules!
So please don't be like a flock of sheep! If you do accept Paypal, put down your own rules for accepting it, make it clear so it is not ambiguous for the buyer!
If this is not acceptable, than buyer can choose alternative payment methods, example to send to other address than listed on Paypal.
For me, i hit always refund button if they say that address on Paypal is not possible, most genuine people do understand this, if not you are operating yourself as a rogue seller0
