Dispute with Under 18 PayPal account holder

Ebay could do a lot more to prevent this happening, but they only ever care about buyers.
When you list an item and offer local pickup whilst accepting payment by PayPal a big red box should come up and warn people about this scam. But it won't happen because eBay don't give a hoot about their sellers.
But to the OP, you are on to a loser pursuing the under-18 thing. Get in touch with the police and contact your home insurer.
People would still ignore a big red warning box, they already ignore the big obvious warning in the same box as the buyers address.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. This scam is easily avoided by following paypal rules to send tracked. Special delivery or a courier with guaranteed tracking is what you need, go and read the postage sticky thread for more information.
Thanks but no need as I decided a while back I'm only buying on eBay not selling. It seemed like to much hassle with everything that can go on; to many variables.
Id never take anything but cash in hand anyway for something like pick up, I was just expressing my shock at some people's morals (or lack of morals).I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

Homie, to answer what your actually asking, if you are under 18 (and not just claiming to be) then your contract with Paypal could be argued to be void.
If this is the case then consult a lawyer before doing anything as you may have committed fraud.0 -
Was going to sell a pair of Castle speakers on E bay, I will now ask for cash instead of it being put into E bay. How can this be done on an E Bay advertising page please?0

Not sure about eBay, but for any collection items, I now use Preloved.
So far no problems. Also it's free to list and there's no final valuation fees to pay, so it's a win win situation really. If it sells great, if not, then you haven't lost anything.0 -

You can say cash on colelction is available but you will still have to show the paypal logo and accept it if offered. If you refund a paypal payment then you cannot be forced to sell, but you might get a neg, poor stars and you definitely get to pay your FVFs.
I'd find a specialist forum or site where you can set your own rules if these are high end goods that cannot be couriered.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It is very simple, you say you accept Paypal - and state the terms and conditions you accept this.
Than you state if people want to collect, you will NOT accept Paypal, only cash. That solves the whole issue!
You are not obligied to accept Paypal, if you can not make sure you have seller protection, state this in the advert, and end of case!
If buyer wants your product and is genuine, explain him the reason for this, and he will understand and accept it.
Whatever you do NEVER accept Paypal and somebody to collect the item, NEVER!0 -

Are you implying that you have to accept Paypal, if somebody wants to come and collect the item, and demands to pay with Paypal?0
