O2 open corporate scheme

Hi all,

Not sure if this has been mentioned at all before but I thought it may be helpful to some, O2 have a corporate scheme that gives a one off credit on to new or upgrading customers accounts.

There are a lot of companies in the scheme and unfortunately I can not remember all of them however if you go to an o2 retail store or to o2open.co.uk and fill in the page it will tell you if your company is part of the scheme. If you are included then you get five codes to share with friends and family.

Off the top of my head some of the companies included are:
John Lewis/Waitrose
McDonalds
Asda
Marks and Spencer
NHS
Police Federation/MET
Fire service
Armed forces
The BBC
River Island
British Sugar
Thomas Cook
Kwik Fit
LloydsTSB
Argos
Co-op
DHL
G4S
Home base
DSG retail group (1x 30% discount)
Lloyds the pharmacy
Pizza hut
Nationdwide
Network rail
Transport for London

Hope this is of help to some people :-)

Was asking about this myself recently and they offered me a £125 credit after the first payment had been made. Pretty good and I may take it up when my contract with Virgin runs out unless there are better cashback deals around.

that domain isnt even owned by o2
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Being as I use it almost every day I can guarantee it is an O2 site. May be run for them by a third party though either way it is genuine
  • I'm part of the NHS and I have requested a verification code but not had a text yet. How long does it take to come through? It's been a few hours now.

    Thanks.

Not all people who can get O2 discount will be via O2 Open - O2 also have "Channel Partners" who get 30% off (i.e. Dixons Retail Employees amongst others)
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

I have gone for this and received the within an hour. Have you still not received it? I have ordered my new phone online to take advantage of the £60 Quidco on it and then I can take my code into my local O2 store to fill in the form at the weekend.
  • As a heads up - this is instore only

I've been denied it because I did this over the phone (even though I was told initially I would get it)

So ringo you bought over the phone then tried taking it instore to apply the discount and they wouldn't let you? What did they tell you, that it was only available if you bought the phone instore in the first place?

I have been told by several o2 online advisors that I can buy a phone online then take it instore and apply this discount. Really hoping I can as can double the savings by including quidco!

You can absolutely buy online and use the Open code. You're best way to do this is via the webchat team online You can go in to store, but as the open code doesn't count towards the store target if you have bought online most will tell you, you can't use it.

To make you aware, the Open scheme can be used on any handset bought directly from O2 not third party like Carphone etc (Online, telesales or in store) There were/are a few exceptions to this: Before 1/1/13 all iPhone 5 sales were exempt. Before 31/1/13 all online/telesales iphone 5 sales were exempt. Currently £11 sim only tariffs are exempt and the promotional prepay - postpay sales are exempt.

I cannot as I have no experience in it guarantee that the open code wouldn't effect the Quidco cash back.
