OK. Here's poser for you. I have Mushrooms:eek: growing in my downstairs bathroom. We think either the radiator or the toilet has been leaking under the vinyl. Yuck.

How do I best get rid of them? We have plumber coming out later this week to sort out whatever the problem is, but I need to get rid of them. NOW:mad:

Cat.. scrape them off and boiling water and neat bleach and expose it so it dries.. daily applications of bleach will kill anything new growing..

The DW just died on me... :(... no power at all.. and yes I checked the fuses :p

miasnanny welcome and take it slow, as others have said. I find that the smallest area tidied/cleaned and kept that way (eg coffee table) is the impetus I need to feel I've made progress, then go onto the next area (eg keep stairs clear), then the next, etc etc. Good luck!

    bikelesschick congrats!

vanilla well done DD and supporting vibes to OH - and you, plus a ((hug)) x

cat_smith I had the same problem last year in my hallway, due to a leak from the downstairs loo, where the wall is shared. I did what mrs-moneypenny suggests, scraped and bleached and left to dry out. It was gross but once the leak was fixed and everthing dried there was no recurring problem. HTH.

WM is calling me - bye for now
