Have you thought about getting a pet? Something different from the usual cat or dog.

    I get bored sometimes.

I have a life that I love. I have stacks of books to read. Stacks of craft stuff. Stacks of housework, or trying to clear stuff. Etc, etc, etc.

But sometimes, you just need *more*.

And the thing is, trying to work out what *more* is.

OP, I hope you find it.

Me too, and i'm trying to figure out what that more could be!

you can always better yourself, study a qualification or set yourself some target, aim to get a six pack at the gym, get a promotion at work etc etc

I dont understand how people are bored either, I never have enough time to do anything I want to

Cheers. Just had a look at yours. Oo er. Saw Nufc, sorry I'm a red and whiter. ;)

Well there you go problem solved, you might have loads of dosh, great job, great car, great body, great family but a Sunderland fan really? ;)

Actually it sounds like apathy to me rather than boredom, it seems like there are some things that you could do, travel, diy, another date on match, new sport, new hobby, but you can't actually be bothered. Maybe you need another unhealthy distraction to get your mojo back. :D

Oh and by the way - Be careful what you wish for .... :p

Exotic holiday? Done that. It's just hotter and they have strange insects. My passport expired and I have no desire to renew. Sorry

Community things. Just googled my area, a bowling club and a spring clean the town group.

I do like the idea of helping the elderly or mentoring though

Surely you're not that ignorant that the fact you've been on holiday once means you've done it all...

Felt a bit bad for you when it seemed everyone was giving you a hard time, but changed my mind now. You come across as trying to rub peoples noses in it and like you're doing us a favour if you take up our suggestions.

Explains a lot! no wonder you're unhappy ;)
(am geographically if not emotionally nearer nufc ;))

Seriously though, I have some sympathy for you, but I think you need to use your imagination and start thinking about things you could and would want to do. Thankfully, you have no financial problems so the world is your oyster really.

The gym would bore me to death too but what about a martial art or similar. I did kickboxing years ago and it was really fun and exciting.

Do you have friends who could join you in some activities, be it rambling (in the countryside - not on here ;)) or visiting places?

As I said, use your imagination!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm really not trying to rub people's noses in anything. I have had debt, I lost a home over it, stress, a toxic relationship, job worries and all of that it's just that everything seems to have changed in the last few months and I'm at a point where there is nothing to stress about.

I've been on a few holidays but I prefer getting out and about in this country. Anyway thanks for all the suggestions.

Ah, maybe that's it. You're so used to being stressed and now that's gone, you feel like there's something missing from your life.

You sound like an extremely organised person who has got himself into an enviable position through his own abilities. You mention that your job is easy and causes you no problems. So could you be bored because you are not stretching yourself enough. It is to easy to get stuck in a rut because it feels comfy. Whether that be in your working life or personal life. This boredom you are feeling could be the catalyst you need to ramp up what challenges you decide to set yourself next.

Having no debts, worries or problems to resolve does not guarantee that you will feel content. As you are financially stable can you look into retraining into a different career. Is there anything you wish you had always tried but never got round to doing?

Joining a gym seems to have been a good idea in that it has helped you get back into shape but it can be quite isolating. Why not look into joining some kind of team sport where you will meet and mix with people.

I hope you dont get hauled over the coals for saying how well life is going for you. I dont believe in judging anyone elses life because most of us have no idea what another persons journey is all about or how it makes them feel. Good luck

    Bored?
Blimey I wish you lived near me!
I have so many little jobs I could task you with while my hubby is so weak.
I can't do lifting any more and some things are just beyond my physical strength, even putting the clean duvet cover on is a task and a half.

Find someone near you who needs help as I do?

I'm guessing you are one of life's worriers, and if you've nothing to stress over you end up in the doldrums.
So get out and help people while you're young enough to be able to, be someone's hero!

    :)
