god i love this website, what would I do without you all? (spend loads for nothing much i suppose, lol!)

we are planning to go with our three eldest children soon, any ideas on transport deals? we were thinking of going on the ferry and staying at a non resort hotel. we don't speak much if any good french will this be a problem?

Think you would be better off staying at a hotel in the resort if you are going to spend most of the time going into the park. It isn't very close to anything else and even at the hotels furthest away from the park entrance there are still free buses to the park. I booked through the Disney website and got a special deal last December - kids go free.
Stayed at Santa Fe - quite basic, but clean, large and modern rooms. Breakfast was good, if crowded! I think this is the cheapest hotel, free bus to resort only takes 5 mins though.
As everyone has said, food in the park is quite expensive and the queues are horrendous from 12.30 - 2. Is a good idea to avoid these times or I think you can book tables in some of the restaurants.
It might be worth staying in a hotel just outside the resort if you are looking at spending a few days in central Paris and a few days at Disney, although you will end up spending a lot on transport, unless you hire a car.

we've been 6 times and stayed off site and on, one thing to consider is that if you stay on site your entrance tickets are included, which are around 30 odd euros a day. We stayed in the Tulip Inn at Bussy St Georges when we were off site, it was considerably cheaper, and then bought annual entrance passports which is the cheapest tickets prices if you intend to visit for more than 3 days and it gives you 10% off food and shops. It cost us 1 euro each person each way on the train back to the hotel which was about a 5 min journey. Apparently the "happy medium" is the hotel Val d'Lysee (or something like that!) which includes the tickets, but is off site and by a supermarket which helps on the food prices. Let me know if you need more info.

Were going in 3 weeks time , we've been once before .
Saved a lot of money by booking travel and accomodation seperately . We travel from Newcastle so we are flying and staying at the Seqoia Lodge which is very adequate - its within walking distance plus there is the bus which travels around Disneyland every 10 mins or so . If you have a credit card try and see if they offer any discounts on hols .We have a NatWest Advantage Gold Card and have paid approx £700 for 4 nights plus passes ( Flights worked out at about £500 for 4 (2 kids over 11 = adults ) You may get cheaper flights from Easy Jet - probably worth checking against Eurostar . The only thing we have to organise is travel to and from Disneyland from CDG Airport and there is a transfer coach every 40 mins or so at approx £70 return for all 4 of us . This may not be the cheapest way to go to Eurodisney but it saved us at least £400 against all the "package" deals on offer -

we went about 5 years ago BY COACH it was an awful journey would not recommend it by coach but the price was £189 PP so you do get what you pay for.. Although we stayed (in with the price) in the new york hotel actually in disneyland and that was fab -i recommend the hotel

I went last May with my son and my friend and her daughter and we loved it.
We stayed at the Santa Fe and it was fine.
We went by Eurostar and the total cost for 4 of us was about 850.00 for 2nights/3 days.
We did pay extra as my friend wanted to upgrade on Eurostar which wasn't worth it i thought.
We ate out at Planet Hollywood and Annettes Diner which was great.
We also did a character tea party which was ok but we were expecting to see Mickey but he was in the parade outside so that didn't work out.
We are going again next year and want to stay in the Cheyenne or Sequoia Lodge.
    :)

I'm going against the censuses here and say I think the food prices are OK.

As the food is decent quality €25 for a 3 course menu is pretty good value, plus you get a great atmosphere, (Blue Lagoon is my fav)

If you compare it against some of the bad places in this country (Brewster’s etc) its good value.

    thanks :)

have been looking into it all a bit more and have realised that the only actual in resot place we could stay with 5 of us is the davy crockett ranch, this is also working out the cheapest so far with 4 nights (well 3 nights plus 1 free) for 5 of us, ferry crossings, park tickets for all the days for approx £500 which i think is pretty good? also includes free sealife tickets and free packs for the kids with autograph books etc

although i've not stopped looking yet, lol! and we'd have to take petrol costs etc into consideration too.......

OK I worked for Disneyland Paris, and I lived in paris for 7 months.

First: try to go there by car, not Eurostar. Take the ferry, if you are going for 5 days or less, use the freebie for getting a P&O free crossover with I points. Just run a search.

then take your car, drive to Marne-la-valle and book a hotel through Hotelformule1.com or hotelpremiereclasse.com. thyey are usually 20 pounds per night per room and you can fit up to 3 people in the same room. Then go buy food from the big shopping centre just right next door to disney (it is one train station before it) and make your own sandwiches and bring your own drinks. DO NOT PURCHASE FOOD INSIDE OF DISNEY. it is cheap crap and your are going to pay the skin of your butt for it. you can eat the food inside as long as you do not use the restaurant's tables and chairs. use the fast track ticket system. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE WALT DISNEY STUDIOS!!! It is a lot of sh1te. there are only 2 things worth watchin: the stuntman on the motorbikes and the rocknrollercoaster.

    Hope this helps!

Oh and if you still want to purchase food inside, be nice to the poor people working behind the counter. Remember they are being paid minimum wage for !!!!ty hours. if you ar ejoyful and cheerful despite the big queues, they will maybe top-up your ice-cream more than other grumpy people's! and try to speak a bit of french too.

We went xmas/new year. for my OH 21st Birthday, it was my 6th visit, and its a fantastic place, I love it....stayed at Newport bay club which is excellent, -I have been by Air(never again, Air France suck), by Car which was fun, but the best by far has to be Eurostar, we went castle class from Ashford international, and were in marne la vallee within 2 hours, we were checked in on the train, all our tickets/vouchers were given to us, and when we arrived, our luggage was taken to the hotel by disney express, so we could walk straight into the park....Same when you leave, take your luggage to left luggage and they will deliver it to the Eurostar terminal for you to pick up......Im going again in March with my kids again, and Im defo going by eurostar, staying at Holiday Inn Ashford the night before!!

Highlights of Disney for me are Pirates of the Carribean, Aerosmith rock n roller coaster(its awesome), Fantasyland, the nightime parade..Animagique, and cinemagique...In fact i love it all....try and book Good Morning fantasyland, u have your breakfast 1 hour before the park opens In Fantasyland..gives you a good start on the rides...

I dont really agree about food costing to much.....You go there knowing its not going to be the price of Mcdonalds...In comparison to some places over here its cheap...

We are looking into the possibility of going to disney paris. If you have been please could you tell me where you booked it and if you got any discounts.
I'd also like to know what you thought of the hotels - we'll probably go to cheyenne or santa fe - if you've stayed at these please give me your opinions.

We'll need to go by eurostar - so opinions on that too please.

Sorry for all the questions but this is a big expense for us and I want to make sure I book the best for our money. Thanks for looking!

Stayed at Santa Fe, hated it, its to far awy from the village, and the room was awful, really tiny.....
