I went to Eurodisney in August 2002 with a bunch of mates from work - but we only had the day pass which was bad news as you don't get into the Main Park until 8pm.....so that means in high season you only get 3hrs to cram in as much as possible!!
I am going back in August this year, this time for 4 days, with my son and we have booked accommodation in Paris city centre itself. It is a hotel 2 mins walk away from the Eiffel Tower - very reasonable rates. (Try https://www.web-paris-hotels.com for really good deals)
We did this cos we are flying from Glasgow Prestwick to Beauvais with Ryanair (£126 return for the two of us - and good flight times). There is a transfer coach that takes you from Beauvais airport to Paris city centre and the drop off point is near where I booked
As our flight gets is into Paris city centre before 11 in the morning, we can drop off our bags and head off out into the world!
We will be visiting the Tower anyway and this means that we can do that early in the morning before the queue's really start - then zip off to Eurodisney in the afternoon, it is open until 11pm anyway. Have got three day hopper passes this time....but they worked out more expensive than the flights and the hotel!! :-/
Hopefully it will all be worth it!! My son doesn't know about it yet - the look on his face will be worth all the effort!!

we have been to florida disney twice and disneyland also twice, the france one does not compare to florida, we stayed 5 yrs ago in cheyenne and we had a great time but when we stayed last sep 03 we made the mistake of trying to do it cheaper by staying in sante fe, this was a great dissapointment and we have vowed to next time only stay at sequoa lodge so to avoid the ques twice daily for the busses where the europeans push in and trample your kids underfoot and there is standing room only very unpleasant, cheyenne is by far the best themed budget hotel. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Miriam has a point there about queue jumping and pushing in front of you. We went some years ago in October and it was a French holiday and they don't seem to understand the concept of queuing
We had people literally jump barriers to push onto a ride in front of us. Fortunately the Disney staff saw it and put them to the back of a long queue to the cheers of everyone else in the queue!
Would also agree about eating in the diner at night. Great fun with the staff stopping every so often to sing to Grease ;D We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge and one tip for the character breakfasts is find out where and what time and if you hang about nearby the kids can see the characters and they will stop on the way in and out, that saved some considerable money!0 -
I'm not sure if it still applies, but when we went in 2002 we paid by Amex which meant that you got all kinds of discounts in the shops and a welcome pack!
We stayed at Newport Bay (I think) I thought it was quite poor and not of a standard I expected from Disney. Also we had a 7 month baby but the rides were pretty accomodating for you to queue together and ride separatley whilst one looks after the bubba.
CNo reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
One of my greatest successes in recent years as a single parent is doing Disneyland Paris on a shoe string...If your prepared to make the drive, great savings can be made by:
* booking your ferry on the net(https://www.ferry.co.uk)...morning start, early afternoon crossing, arrive Disney early eve and you start and finish your journey with a good nights sleep.....
* staying at local French motorway motels (Formule1 or Premiere Class for more creature comforts).....basic accomadation but costs from £15 a night for a room for 3 people and can be prebooked on the net....If visiting Disney, try Bussey St.Georges hotels/motels......just 10 mins drive on the motorway to the park
* shop around for Park Tickets...my last 3 day pass was £10 cheaper (approx £62) from my local Disney store than purchasing at the park
Hope this helps anyone interestedThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
We did Disney Paris last Autumn and stayed in the Sequoa Lodge it was very nice, one tip if you opt for the buffet breakfast and ask at the checking in desk to have the breakfast at one of the restaraunts in the park then you don't have the hotel queue for breakfast and you are already in the park before it opens, so you can either be in the front of everyone for your first rides or be first for the fast passes, this worked for us on the two days we stayed there, good luck and enjoy.

We went at the end of June last year.
Flew to CDG with BMI baby at £40 return - booked the day the flights are released, flew out Sunday and back Saturday to keep it cheaper.
Rail transfer was easy. The change in the centre of Paris is literally a walk across to the other side of the platform, no stairs.
We stayed at the Pierre et Vacances apartments at Val D'Europe which is one stop short of the disney station. These apartments are fantastic if your group is 5 or more as bigger apartments are available (we paid £100 per night for an apartment which could have slept 7). They are best booked directly on the Pierre et Vacances website.
There is a massive supermarket at Val D'Europe for provisions and the foodcourt in the shopping centre is very reasonable considering the various options for dining (Chinese, Japanese, Steaks, fish, cafeteria).
In the morning it is a half hour walk across to the Disney entrance or you can get the train. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well, after about 3 weeks of searching off and on and looking at reviews, we opted to book at Holiday Inn. Haven't heard anything bad except the food is not too remarkable.
If you go directly to their website (.co.uk), you get the best rate. We got a room for 4 for 72 euro a night. It does not include breakfast. We wanted the magic and convenience of being right there.
Also, heard the train station has a shop with pastries and coffee.
Also, went to unpackagedattractions dot co dot uk and got the best deal on the park pass.
Hope this helps!
Have fun!0 -
I agree that the food is overpriced, and evening meals when we stayed at the Seqoia Lodge were not to child friendly, and my daughter isnt the chicken nugget type, but there was no pasta dish, on tex mex style food.
There is a Mc D but I queued for 45 mins, and witnessed to near punch ups over queue jumping.
If we go again, we would stay outside of the park and either train/bus in each day, at least the choices of places to eat would be better.
The only other gripe I had was we found the characters sparse, some even ran away from groups of children ??, they were herded around, and not always accessible, in fact my daughter commented on how Ariel was missing from a Disney Princess parade, and we saw no snow white or dwarves and only a cardboard Peter Pan,, all the rides are excellent (also labelled in French !!)Sam:happylove0
