to be honest it doesn't to me either :rotfl: i kept expecting her to come back and demand the one whole pound back :rotfl: and i could have actually got probably £10-15 more for it thinking about it. I had 4 people offer to take it off my hands in one hour. ah well all done now will know for next time though :cool:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Helloooo !!!
My youve been a busy bee DFW !! This FB selling sounds great, if only I had FB. We have a Surround Sounds system to sell as well Gargrave, it sounds liek it might be worth a try. If I hack into DD1s account is it easy to find the FB selling pages ? Not sure she will be too thrilled though to have hordes of stuff up for sale via her page !!
Oh, and I havent had a chance to dig around for the colouring books I mentioned, but I will. I havent forgotten you xx.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

You could just re-open your fb account for selling i know a few friends that just use fb to sell. They leave their account open for all to see and just have albums and albums of clothes, household bits etc etc for sale. Then they post their profile to selling pages. In the search bar just put 'things for sale in XXXXX' where ever you live. I have found around 12 in our local town and if it is big things then i will post them as far away as towns 20 miles away. Pick up only or postage if they pay.
You don't get fees from PP this way either as they send the money via gift to you. So no nasty ebay or PP fees, win winMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Morning!
Well yesterday was a spendy day had to get shopping in came to £57 which wasn't too bad considering i had run out of some meats so had to replace them!
I have also decided (perhaps stupidly) to buy a puppy :j I'm clearing out my shares account today, so my stocks will be on sale from 2pm. I'm hoping we get enough money back to buy the puppy we've seenI can't afford to take the kids on holiday this year, so i thought a puppy would be a good distraction for them having to stay at home all summer
I've been meaning to look for one for ages as ds1 has been asking me for one since he was 4! he is nearly 14 now
so before he gets too old (i;e when i'm debt free and in a better position to buy one) i'm going to take the plunge and get him one now
well it's for the whole family really so i'm really looking forward to it. Also hoping all the walks may help me to shift some extra weight round my middle! i won't change my savings on the signature though until we know for sure what we have later on or tomorrow!
i'm helping my mum move on saturday, and we were looking to get the pup next monday but i may go pick her up before the weekend just so we can have a pick of the litter....we'll see all dependant on when savings get transferred over! I'm expecting half of you think i'm mad spending my savings on a dog (which will also require feeding etc every day so more expenses) but you can't wait forever for these sort of things as my ds will just be too old soon and be extremely annoyed if i go get one when he is too old to care for it (i.e at college etc) and secretly i want one too;)
spends today: £0......was going to be £2 but my ds2 dropped £2 in londis and it rolled under the counter never to be seen by me again. So everything was put back on shelves (juice & snack) and nothing bought! But i'm still £2 down grrr!
Not much else to report really...apart from my tenant seems to have done a runner and we need to get into house to show other people round! Nothing can ever be easy eh!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Bad news on the £2 - can't believe they didn't offer to fish it out from under the counter at least!!!
I am very jealous re: the puppy. My son has been desperate for one since he could talk. On the bright side, we are on the waiting list for a pup in Australia which should be ready to come home in October which would give us time to get a permanent home:j. I'm a huge fan of the puppy idea, good luck with the shares!LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

no me either Gargrave! I'd have helped if someone else had lost their money (in fact have done before) but i couldn't get on my hands & knees for any longer without losing a child!
Never mind, i made £2....so it's like karma lol. Someone else must have needed that £2 we lost more than we did. ??! Finally sold the boys boots i'd been trying to sell for ages but kept missing the lady at nursery! we finally bumped into each other today lol and £2 is back in my pocket! so a money neutral day now :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I think a dog is great, we had a cocker spaniel we had to rehome her when DD2 came along as she thought she was her mother! We cant have one now until we buy our own place but would love another dog.Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100

Well it's like fate has intervened! we had a pup ready to go see on Sunday (or before if we could get there) and my money was being messed around from the shares place where we had it!! i was really getting peeved. But didn't want to lose pup, so called dad and begged that he lend me the money for the pup and i'd pay him back as soon as the funds hit my account from our savings. He said yes, will do it tomorrow, and then asked how much we were paying so i said £600 and he was :eek: so i went back online and on exactly the same website a pup popped up only one left to be sold cheaply as breeders going on holiday! KC registered same as £600 pup but lowered price so they could just get rid of last one. We've had pics and he doesn't look like a monster or anything so i've reserved him and we get him on Sunday! £250 :j:j:j £350 cheaper than other one :j and from good breeding lines etc just like more expensive one! Then i called back my dad and told him i didn't need to borrow as much and he said okies, called me back 10 mins later and said don't pay me back, i'll get it for you & kids as their b-day pressies this year :j
So i can re-invest my money once it hits my bank account. Am so happy
And for those of you on my FB go have a look at the pic of him he's sooooooooooooo cute:D
