  • Before i answer any posts i'm just going to copy and paste this that i just posted on the PPI claim board (seems a bit empty there so hoping someone can help me here??)

Hi there i've sent off a letter asking for a SAR from barclays with a £10 cheque, this was returned to me today and with it a letter stating:

'I note that your request was made in relation to a claim for the sale of payment protection Insurance (ppi). I attach a search of our systems which gives a complete summary of current and historic products relating to your record and identifies whether PPI was sold with a Y or N. Start and end dates are also shown against each product. This information is sufficient to enable you to progress a claim under PPI.

.... (bit bout mortgage PPI not really applicable to me)

Rather than charging you for a full request for information, i have returned your cheque for £10 (where applicable) and trust this information meets your requirements'

My question is...can I make a claim for the PPI (i had it on 5 loans dating back to 2002) with only the account numbers & sort codes. I thought i would need the loan amount etc?? Is there a specific template for this. I'm sorry may just me being blind but i can only see SAR templates.

Many thanks. Sorry if a dumb question! And grateful for answers!

ALSO: does anyone know what BRU flag means and what SUggested BID policies means :o feeling very dumb...

  • Hi karen thanks for the post, have you got tarot cards, i find them fascinating and it's all started from a hobby really. I think i would feel more confident if i had done a course or something rather than been totally self taught! hmm perhaps that course can go next on my list :D

  • Good Morning!

And a lovely sunny one here (for now) in Essex :j:T

Yesterday I had a hangover so wasn't really much use to anyone however i still managed to get up, take ds2 to the hospital (sticky yukky eye) wait around an hour to be in there 2 mins. Take them to town for sing & rhyme at the library. Take them to the park and caved in to a burger king :o:o I did feel slightly better afterwards though :D

Update on my challenges to myself....

spend £130 in one week (no more) ummm went over cos i went out Friday night- but otherwise was in budget for everything else (a miracle in itself i think lol)

Stop swearing- going pretty well :T have had a few slip ups but nothing major and usually towards end of day when i've had enough of screaming and fighting toddlers! :o Still working on it though!

    Today i have to :
    • update spreadsheet
    • work out how much i have to give CCCS for creditors if i don't get a tenant
    • find more places to advertise fo tenants (already placed ads in 3 places yesterday online)
    • get some washing done whilst it is sunny out
    • clean up house
    • work out budget next month and for rest of this month taking into consideration my night out!

Feeling very lazy today so just letting kids play out and will do minimal as i can :D hoping it stays sunny so kids can stay out all day and therefore any cleaning i do won't be counter-productive :)

Need to catch up on diaries too been slack and want to know what you're all up to!

  • Happy thanks for that link, it's the right one but i downloaded it and it asks really random questions that i can't remember- like- what did you take the loan out for- where did you take the loan out (phone, internet, branch)- ummm and lots of other ones. Wondering if i can just lie on all the 5 forms  well not lie exactly but well ummm just make it up as i don't honestly remember and i also don't remember whether i was self -employed or employed at the time!!! grr
