Oooh Im a few days behind, as usual and I see that the current bidder for your large item lives near me ! I am intrigued now ! They might live next door to me . I will keep a look out for large items being delivered in my vicinity :p

Talking of next door I burbled on my diary that your DS1 and my DD2 could have been standing next to each other at District Sports as I thought our district included you district but it appears they dont, so as usual I was spouting rubbish on my diary ! :o

Loved the Maths conversation with your little ones, it really made me giggle.:rotfl:
Im glad you are feeling a bit better these last few days DFW. xx

Be Lucky, I'm with your DH there, forget the meat and go for the doughnuts every time x

  • Morning!

Well, i've logged onto my bank and can't see anything untoward? I got a phone call from them though that DH took so unless it was a dodgy scam call I guess I had better go to the bank still?!

So today i've written a little list of things that need doing, including making party invites & a birthday card for a party we are invited to tomorrow! Oh and a birthday card for my nephew which will now be late as his birthday is on Monday :o I only just remembered typing this out!

There is a food and drink festival on today in town but I'm not sure I want to go. Things like this with kids usually equals disaster. Plus it will save some money if I don't go I guess!

Fleabay items are ending tomorrow night and only one bidder yet :( hoping things pick up or else i've wasted my money on listing fees for no reason!!

DH did ok on the food shop but the meat hasn't arrived yet (he's ordered online) so we'll see how much he's got first before seeing if it can last the month

Right best go DD has ballet at 9am  and she's still sleeping!!

So this evening DH is going through his emails and says to me, "I might be getting my inheritance soon".

DFW, no TEASING us with this. No telling us this and then leaving us hanging on.

I am sooo willing it to be a big inheritance for you...:D

  • Morning!

    No inheritance through yet....

Yesterday we went to town. I spent half hour waiting to be seen in the bank and then half hour waiting for the fraud team to pick up the phone to the man who was dealing with my query! not impressed! Turns out my card has been cloned  so card cancelled immediately. I've got no access to my online bank (via my phone) now until I get my new card and link it up :doh:am having withdrawal symptoms from checking a gazillion times a day :rotfl: I have ds2 to thank for the fraud team checking out my account. He apparently tried to buy 10 games from my phone on Thursday/Friday  my account kept saying no and he kept pressing 'try again' if he hadn't done this they'd have never picked up on it. So although I won't be thanking him in person, I guess it's a good job that he did get hold of my phone, take the screen lock off and play a game and then try to buy every booster going :rotfl:

We then went on to the food festival we got there at just the right time. no queues (which was massive on the way out!) and we spent a small fortune on kangaroo burgers, chinese, indian, german foods and cheeses, local ciders & wine :o we rarely treat ourselves though so was a nice day out. And kids got face painted for free & there was lots of freebies on the way round ;) I was so tired when I got home though I ended up driving out to buy the smaller ones McDonald's for dinner. DH & I just had a sandwich as we'd stuffed ourselves there :rotfl: We also used some half price vouchers for blockbuster and got 2 DVD's for the weekend. Smallest 2 are at a party after lunch which I'm sending DH to instead of me ;) he works with the birthday boy's dad so i've sold it to him that he can sit there and have a natter. PMSL. No such luck I expect as they will have a headache after 20 mins as it's in a soft play thing :rotfl: Oh and he doesn't realise he's taking the neighbour's kid too :p!

I am going to clean up when they've gone and then make a quick dinner (they are eating there so won't be too hungry) and I'm heading to my friend's house in time for our fleabay listings coming to an end :T

Had a bit of a worrying phone call the other day. Well I missed the call but the voicemail was not pleasing....it was from DS1 geography teacher. He started off by saying how 'DS was usually such a polite, nice young boy that interacted in class' etc etc and then went on to say 'i'm slightly worried at the new friend's that he is making, perhaps you may want to have a quiet word with him'. So we had the quiet word which ended up in tears (from both sides. Why are teens so abrasive!!) and it turns out he'd been put in a group with 'a bunch of !!*&^' (his words ) and he'd asked to be moved and when the teacher asked him to just get on with it DS1 walked out :( he's not very tolerant of idiots to be fair but DH & I tried to explain that in life you don't always get your own way, you won't always get along with everyone, blah, blah, blah and basically don't walk out again and be so darned dis-respectful and rude! I don't know whether he listened or not. We'll have to see. I'm now desperate to get him into more outside school activities to get him to make friends from all walks of life/lots of places and not just his classroom. Feel quite disappointed really and upset that he has now been rude to 2 teachers in the space of a week :(:(.

That is about all the updates from me! I've no money updates as bank is frozen until they lift it and I receive my new card! I just hope this doesn't affect DD's that are due out on Monday....!

Hope all is well with everyone :)

    Morning DFW,

Sounds like an eventful weekend in your house!!!

Ooohhhhh loving the sound of the inheritance! Hope its a nice chunk! Maybe you should get it paid into your account so you can sensible divide it up ;)!

Oh no to DS1, sounds to me like hes testing a few boundaries at the mo! Dreading it with my 2. Infact I remember being a teenager and thinking the world was against me haha!!!! I still think they were against me actually :rotfl:!!!! xx
