Oh lord, DH has just come in from the garden I thought he'd snuck out for a sneaky fag ..he thinks i'm a twit and don't realise he's sneaking them in- and, well, in walks a Jar head (if you seen the film you know what i mean :eek::eek:) if not well dh has hardly any hair now. He's [STRIKE]butchered[/STRIKE] cut it I suppose the upside is that it's free and he told me he was saving money :doh:Suppose this could mean he's coming on board?! :rotfl::think:

DH cut his hair really short once and he looked awful - think it might have been in the name of money saving too.

Sometimes I stumble across photos from then and I just get really shocked again - it just did not suit him!
  • I suppose at least OH is doing his bit, bless him. :)

Great news about the kids achievements. xx

  • Morning :D

Brizzle, EE & Alice he did it once before and i begged him not to do it again! It ages him by about 10 years  I told him he looked middle aged after he had done it and he wasn't happy :rotfl:I'm sure it won't put him off doing it again though! He's taken the kids this morning to see his mum and siblings! Well i wonder what they will say :rotfl: me I decided to make a trade off last night so I could stay at home and do some cleaning (what i really meant was sit on my backside and watch catch up tv and eat cake :D)

His brother is still giving him the money for petrol so i've given him the food money to put in the petrol and he will hopefully bring back the money from his brother so we can eat next week  I decided I shouldn't feel guilty as i'm sure it was this particular brother that landed us with a debt once by taking a card out in DH's name and address and we ended up paying it  so actually the £40 can just go towards the £700+ that he ran up on the card ;) (I think we eventually got it written off but not before making payments thinking it was actually DH's card?! We couldn't work out where we'd spent the money :o turns out we hadn't lol)

So the chairs are finished and i've nothing left to paint so I may put a girly film on, snuggle up on sofa as it's freezing out and do some knitting as I have lots to catch up on  -about 10 issues which is 1-2 squares per issue plus i promised DD a blanket for her birthday  yes think that's the plan :o;)

So today will actually be a NSD then :j so just 3 more to go till pay day and i'll have reached target :T I'm desperate to pay some more debt down but I want to leave my 'pots' feeling healthy for once too just in case of disaster! (I.e the impending MOT.....)

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend :A

  • well what a lovely chilled day so far :) and kids are still out so peace and quiet still! DS1 & I have watched 3 films so far and I can't remember the last time I did that!

I've ironed all the uniforms, had a quick clean up, knitted half a square ( it's a BIG square lol), tidied kitchen, living room & kids room :) kitchen needs doing again though as just done gammon & eggs!

Rain is here too which i'm not happy about (as got no tumble drier and tonnes of washing to do!) but i did manage to hang out 2 washes and get them dry before it started :)

Hope everyone has had a good Sunday x

  • Well hello, been a busy Monday here today and not a NSD. Was almost a NSD after I got to the shops and realised DH had my bank card  only realised this after i had walked round the shop got my food for the week and put it on the conveyor belt !!!! Luckily I had £30 in my purse that came back with DH last night from his brother (he was given £40 but he had to put another tenner in the tank. Probably because he drives like an idiot but that's a different story!) so anyway it's my turn and i whisper (please tell me when it gets to £30 ) and of course i'm sure there is a code or something between cashiers to embarrass anyone who states a limit...because of course she fog-horned my announcement across the shop floor. Wonderful. Cheers for that you old battleaxe! And then when my shopping came to £24 she was like 'oh don't worry you're well within your £30 limit dear' :wall: So yes short story made long by me (as always :o) My spends today were £24.

I had my meeting with DS1 (and ds2 in tow) at the new school and whilst there they gave us the new uniform :T no hanging about for it to be delivered or anything we tried it on and made sure it fitted with me doing the usual mumsy thing of buying it a size too big and utterly embarrassing him (perhaps the SM fiasco was karma for me :rotfl:) and I told him if he got it big enough and didn't lose it I wouldn't have to buy another uniform the whole two years he's there :j he was naturally mortified at my 'cheap-ness' attitude but I was well happy :D:rotfl:

Have also been to the gym :T did 30 mins cardio today, 160 sit ups and arm machines to get rid of the bat wings and lift the boobies :). As soon as I got home I ate 2 slices of cake.

Still need to walk the dog and shower yet. And make dinner, iron & hoover. And they (meaning my husband and his like-minded friends) say we do nothing but watch Jezza, drink tea and b1tch about people when we stay at home! Hmph. I only do that on a Thursday. Cheek of it! :p
