Hi everyone,
Back from my weekend away - we went up to see DS at Uni and stayed with MIL and SIL. It was lovely to see DS and reassure myself that he has really got over his crisis of a couple of weeks ago. Mind you his room was the worst mess I have ever seen it:eek:  . I picked up some papers but he hustled me out before I could do much.
DH bought yet another gadget yesterday for his mP3 player - what is it about men and their toys.
Weight watchers tonight and am determined to get back on track - the weight has been coming off since New Year but very slowly, I've lost 21lbs since October and am aiming for another 7 by Easter.
Emma, so sorry to hear about your cat - we have dogs and I know what you went through.
Moggins - do carry on posting if it helps - take care of yourself.
Hugs to anyone else who needs them.

Good Afternoon All
Happy Birthday to shez DS - hope he has a good day!
Happy Birthday janb5 also - enjoy your day!
lil-me did you drive the Hummer? Lucky devil if you did!
bargain - rzl I always wandered if Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation was any good! I have slightly oily skin - would this be suitable. I sometimes use rimmel matte powder, that helps to keep the shine under control!
Glad your feeling a bit better catowen xxx
Feeling still low, managed to get through the day!
Thankyou all for your thoughts etc, it means a lot to me! Im hoping the rain will hold off, so we can have a buriel service after school. He will go near the apple tree what my Grandad planted yrs ago when I was small, along side the rabbit! Im sure the cat wont mind! I know Ive done the right thing, but still feel very empty!
I'll be glad when March is over and done with, it would be my Nanna's birthday also tomorrow (she died nearly 2yrs ago) So will go to the crem after work! She died on the 28th March!
All doom & gloom, just hope things will pick up soon!
OH said that we might go to toys-r-us later, to help DS spend his birthday money/vouchers! That might lighten the mood for us!
Roast Chicken & veg for dinner, thats what we should have had yesterday! I was lucky if I managed a bowl of cornflakes!
Anyway, best go and do the school run!
Catch you later
Love as usual

I did 20 minutes and boy can I feel it now!!!! I saw the ones on the teleshopping channel and thought oooooohhh, that's something I'd use...got mine in argos (using nectar points) for only £35 - it's got the handheld arm workers too. I'm going to leave it out in the living room to remind me to do it.....I am - honest..........no really....I will.............well good intentions and all that.
Well I've achieved quite a bit today - popped to town and bank, turned yesterdays left overs into a soup for the freezer, also turned some left over beef cassarole into a spicy soup for the freezer, one load of washing done and airing and I've framed a cross stitch picture I've just finished. Veg is peeled for tea and I've done todays filing/bill paying/letter writting paperwork.
Going to do an hours ironing so that I can go out tomorrow with a friend who's just rung and told me she's feeling the need to spend money - as long as it's hers and not mine, I'll help!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi, all!
Crazychick, special hugs for you.
Catowen - take care of yourself until you feel better.
Happy birthday to Master Shez, Jan and Mr Dogrose.
Walked into town and what should have been a 5min trip took 30 mins   The man in front of me in the bank appeared to be paying in his life savings in assorted coppers  I then met my next-door neighbour, who delighted me by saying that I don't look any older than when I moved in 11 years ago :A She also told me that the lady in the next house along died yesterday, after a long illness. It was expected, but still very sad. Funeral will probably be next week, though could be the end of this.
Been venting my anger on some fresh pasta. Small penguins will make it into tagliatelli once they're home, and then we're having it with spinach, ricotta and parmesan.
DD's off to a Fairy Party at Guides tonight. She's made some lovely *fairy buns* with wings and decorated with timy pink hearts. How is it that I've been scrupulous in encouraging my children towards equality, and one turns out pink and girly, and the other is a stranger to soap, and needs to run around constantly

Hello all, Happy Birthday to some of you and warm thoughts for those who are struggling at the moment. I am back to my routines since my mother travelled back to Finland last night. Ohhh, this means I am doing ironing, cleaning, cooking  again...
Children were really quite upset but luckily they are travelling to Finland at Easter courtesy to my mum. Weather is awful here, just managed to post eBay/Amazon items without getting soaked.
Just time for tea and chocs before the children are back. Need to sort out food for kids/husband and two cousins. Tempted by the idea of slow cooker but is it useful for vegetarian cooking?SSB0 -

Well, the heavens opened and we have loads of downpours this afternoon. Managed to get the washing in before it got too wet so that was a relief.
Pasta sauce all made so dinner will be very quick to assemble later.
Have cleaned the bedrooms and living room - just need to hoover.
Found out at the weekend that my 12 year old niece is being bullied at secondary school so waiting to find out from my sister what the school have said.
Need to go rescue the dustbin as I can hear it being thrown around by the wind....0 -

LOL I had to post this.
I've had a remarkably good day, they were wonderful at the job centre, they have actually given me the forms for Income Support as that way I will get the services of a Lone Parent Adviser who will also be able to work out my CTC too, although they know that I am actively looking for work.
Then I went and got my hair cut off!!! It's now shoulder length instead of waist length with lots of layers and everyone says it makes me look so much younger and very funky!!
Then I came home from the school run and a bit of shopping to find Him in the house. He said hadn't we better sit down and discuss things, so I sat down, smiled at him and said discuss away!! I think he was expecting to find me crying and begging again, not me, not now matey!! He is going to pay the mortgage at least until I find a job, but this is the best bit. He has been called back into work unexpectedly and has had to ask me if he can stay here for the next couple of days until he gets a chance to look for anything. As actually he will be working when I am sleeping and sleeping while I am out tomorrow it isn't actually going to affect me all that much. So I was Lady Bountiful and have agreed he can stay as long as he doesn't get in the way. But if he thinks I am cooking tea for him then he's got another think coming!
I think he is completely gobsmacked with how well I am doing, and I have a big fat smirk on my faceOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
