Evening all,
Well, I had a great surprise when I got home from work - I have a new washing machine installed :j :j. The letters told us the maintence guys didn't have a key so we would have to arrange a date for them to come and be here to let me in...then they turned up this afternoon with a key?? Luckily, OH had come home from uni early, so was here. It's currently running through its paces - isnt it sad that I'm getting excited about a new washing machine, and I'm not even 20 yet!! But won't it be nice to have a washer that works properly
AND OH had cleaned the flat for me when I got home. Happy days
Had southern fried chicken strips for dinner, with chips, onion rings and beans. Yummy! Other than that, not much going on.
Oh yeah - I finished the budget off yesterday...its not good, so need to seriously cut down on spending.
Hope you all had a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
I am as p...... a fart! XDH and his fiancee have been round all evening drinking. I am now getting their new car for £350!! And they are letting me pay it off at £50 a month. They want to keep the old one as it has a towbar. I just need to find a job now but they even came up with some brilliant suggestions for that one.
I have just discovered I can't even abide a spelling mistake when I am drunk! Think I'll sleep well tonight
They even brought me some shopping and wouldn't let me pay for it, and two huge bunches of flowers.
Sort of makes me sad too really, how come other people can think so much of me, yet DH hates me?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Moggins Not sure if you already do this but try selling a few things each week on ebay to make the £50 each month for your car. Stuff like clothes, DVDs, CDs, jewellery (including broken stuff), vinyl, perhaps a few of DH's possessions?!? :rotfl:
(Sorry if you already sell on Ebay)0 -
ha ha moggins - you type better p**ssed than i do sober
Just back from bingo - no luck sadly but it was only a fiver for the books and a round of drinks was £3.70 and more importantly I'VE BEEN OUT AFTER DARK ON MY OWN AND EVERYTHING! ddsboyf'smum (there must be a word for that surely) was very nice and we got chatting like we'd known each other for years. Turns out we are both learning about wicca. She told me that someone had told her to put holly around the house for a debt owed to her to come back - she did and the next week she noticed an extra £500 in her bank acocunt from tax credits. when she phoned them they said that they had been doing some sort of audit and realised that they'd underpaid her for years and were giving back £21000. She said that everyone's been saying how lucky she is but this is money for a child with a disability that they've had to do without for years wondering while she's struggling so much more than other people. Two months ago her heating and hot water system broke down and to fix it the council spent two weeks ripping up her floorboards and she'd been so worried about the extra electricity she was using boiling up kettles for the hot water. She was in despair and now this - i am so happy for her.
good night all
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
