One at a better car park or supermarket for your needs, it might take some forethought and a little more time. But you wouldn't want to put your convenience and a little more driving time over your child's safety would you?
You are not telling me that is the only place you can shop are you?

This is a random picture off the Internet.

The retail park I mentioned is in the middle of nowhere. Nearest alternative parking would be about 2 miles away.

There isn't always a choice if different car parks (except perhaps in your world).

Well you have to put a little thought in, buy off the internet, arrange a babysitter. Surely your child's safety is worth that ?

Not really. I didn't buy a £40k car and a £350 car seat to stay home all day every day.

Good you can drive further afield in search of a better venue to shop then, problem solved.

Or they could learn to deal with it the way we did before P&C spaces - just get on with it!

I hope you don't complain about my carbon emissions when I do (given I'll be doing around 10 times the mileage).

Actually, the 2 brand new car parks in cardiff city centre have spaces about 1.5 times the likes of 'normal' spaces - for everyone. So someone must have realised it was a good idea.

    Great idea.

Perhaps we should go back to the times before benefits and disability benefits and make everyone fend for themselves as well.

    I drive a T5 and I would have a cheek complaining about anyone's mileage.

does anyone know if you can park in a mother and child space with a disabled badge if there are no disabled spaces available?

I haven't read through the whole thread, but in every car park we've been in, it's always been the other way round!
