he's stopped talking to me since i showed him all those 85% ltv mortgages which he claimed didn't exist, and then suddenly accused me of being chucky (wrong about that too) - why, gosh, it was almost as if....as if.....he deliberately changed the subject or something.

So we have have been tipped back into recession because of a collapse in the construction sector. That can't be good for the house price growth optimists (ie over leveraged landlords).
With mortgage rates rising, stamp duty back, high inflation, wage freezes, rising unemployment can anyone really say house prices won't fall back to reasonable levels.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
