We had a sort out a couple of years ago when DS3 moved into his own home with his GF.
Prime time to sort through all their old school work and art projects. DS1 and DS2 were duly called to come round and see what they wanted to get rid off and what they wanted to keep and remove it all to their own houses.
I got so weepy when I saw them turfing out stuf that I had treasured over the past years of their lives :o
Best bit is though, my loft has loads of space to store other things now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

i do think you should keep kids stuff
    i'm exactly the same
i would love to see stuff from when i was little and wish my parents hadn't binned my old work

i still refuse to throw away cots and prams even though we have pretty much decided we are not having anymore and i'm nearlyy over the hill....i still can't part with them......just in case :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I couldn't live with myself if I had let them loose on all of the school stuff. I've kept report cards etc and I've got a box of christmas decorations some made in playschool, oh some of them must be 28 years old or a bit more. They all get hung on the tree or on shelves.
I've also got the pram blankets from my DS1, they got used for all four of my boys, and the christening gown and shawl. They will leave the house when I do I think.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Afternoon one and all :hello:, hugs for anybody not happy. :grouphug:

Not a bad day today, went to hospital to have my cast changed, had stitches taken out and arm is healing nicely. Only 4 more weeks until the cast comes off for good. :j

Got home and there was a sample of whisky, shampoo sample and the family and friends railcard. I only sent off for that a few days ago so that was really quick. Handy as well as you can use it straight away and we're off out by train at the weekend.

£9.57 in JTD from wombled receipts in the last 24 hours. :)

This might help some of you in Manchester or Newcastle. Got an email from Little Voucher Book with a 6 minute free tanning session :rotfl: Not the sort of thing I'd use but I then looked and there's quite a lot of other savings on other things.

Hope some of you can use them

Off now to catch up on a few pages. :)

Glad you've got the stitches out now Milo and the arm seems to be healing well :D and thanks for the voucher link - I have saved the link to possibly use when we are in Newcastle next week :T :T

We will be staying at the Jury's Inn in Swindon for 2 nights as it's a good base for visiting the Cotswolds.
    Got a really good deal.
2 nights B&B with dinner and wine on the first night £99 for both of us :)
Just got to make sure I don't have another week like last week now as it's non-refundable

I do so hope that you will be ok and able to enjoy your birthday treat Purdita :A

It's a bit basic for the moment, but I've promised HC I'll pretty it up when I get a chance. It was more important to get it up online (in case it does get pulled from here) than make it look good.

Anyone who has problems reading it, PM me and let me know.

I'm happy to host all Happy's tutorials when I get the time.

Back from whoopsying.........the smoked haddock with davidstow cheddar fishcakes are in the oven and will be served with a side salad.

Pick of the shop for me are the two packs of organic fillet steak down from 9.3x to 1.8x Those posh tesco finest fishcakes are very nice too, theres a few varieties and all are good! :)

The chicken, turkey, mince, cod in breadcrumb and the sausages I've just dropped off to a neighbour. :)

    foody.jpg

    Real whoopsie envy here :T:T:T

I'll ask you the same question I asked Locarr.....what time did they do final reductions? as mine were only marked down to half price at 8.30 last night although the fruit and veg was 90% off at 7 and the bread 80% off at 7.30.
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

    Same :D

The weird thing is they don't learn. There's a product in there that I got DTD on before Easter. Out of three varieties one ticket was left OOD. And right now it's the same  I sometimes wonder what they're thinking! (considering I work in retail, just scanning the aisle will surely get you're attention of the mistake).
