    Evening all. Had a lovely morning on the beach, came back and prepared for Mum's arrival. Pina Colada in the cooler to drink on the way back from the airport, flowers in the room, flowers spelling welcome on the bed, towels folded into fans, food and drink in the fridge etc etc. Waited ages for her and her oh to come through customs and immigration and she came out with a face like a smacked a---e. No hug or kiss for me or my DH.
    Apparently the flight was dreadful,. the food was too, she was squashed in an awful seat, the person in front tipped their seat back so she had even less space, her OH had a bad back and the awful seats made it worse, and she was too hot. She arrived in tights, trousers, a jumper and a jacket!!!, and she used to live here so she knew what she was coming to!
    When I sympathised and commented that her mode of dress was a bit inappropriate, she started again. I then lost it big time. I organised everything for her, the flights, the airport hotel, the airport lounge, her travellers cheques, everything. All she had to do was pack a case and get on the blasted plane, and I told her so!! Now she's not speaking to me!! so I've shut the door between the apartments.

    I'm sooooo cross and upset:mad::mad::mad:
    Sorry to come on here and moan. I'm normally a happy bunny, but this really got to me. Let's hope things improve, or the next nine days are gonna be awful. :(

    Im glad Im not the only one!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    talking about irons..
    I washed the lounge curtains a couple of weeks ago, when it came to ironing them, I couldnt work out why the creases wouldnt come out, I turned the iron as high as it would go and still the creases wouldnt come out... when I checked the plug, it had come out slightly so I pushed it back in and while it was warming up I went to make myself a cuppa.. I got back to ironing forgetting that I had turned it right up, and yes, you guessed it, I burnt a hole in my curtains!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    i think we are all daft on here the other day after emptying the hoover i hoovered kitchen and lounge then noticed it was making a rubish job so checked it was not blocked and finished hoovering told oh it was not working very well he came over took the pipe of put it back on the right side then left the room in fits of laughter. i had hoovered the hole house on blow

  • Evening all :)

    Just back in from work and I see someone has posted a pic of the mothers day flower chocolate thingy... I seen those today :(:( I could kick myself right now! Maybe they'll still be there tomorrow *fingers crossed* although I'll not hold my breath! ;)

    I have a wee car related question I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help with? I noticed the other day on the passenger side at the door edge next to the wheel arch, iykwim that there looked to be something dripping but thought it was just water what with all the rain we've been having. But tonight when I was coming in it looks suspiciously like oil, but I thought that would have been under the car rather than where I'm seeing it? Any mechanics on board that might have an idea about what it could be? I'd be most grateful :)

    I shall be back in a little while, off to T's to try my luck :D List updated and at the ready! Shall pop in A's on the way back and check for whoopsies but recently hoards of folk are descending at whoopsie o'clock and it's making it very hard to find things, though I did manage a £6 sage and onion whole chicken for 10p last night :D Which is currently roasting in the oven to be had with whoopsied maris pipers (16p for 5kg!) mashed with whoopsied Lurpak (30p for 1kg) glitched Cathedral city and a splash of milk (10p 6pts) and a fried egg from our hens on the side with homemade bread and butter :D (Was gonna do a roast but ran out of whoopsied veg lol!)

    Miss Laid your haul is fabulous as usual! :D Well done!

    I have caught up on today and have my list ready for another epic post later. Have a great evening and I'll be back in a mo, hopefully with some bargains to boot :)

    Westie and Lutzi.....PMs coming your way later, so sorry for the delay! :( xxx

    Sounds delicious Fudge, if I'm ever down your way I shall angle for an invite :). Hope your family appreciate your efforts. No panic on the response front, we're all busy peeps. x :A

    Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

    Nice work HC. I think someone must have complained first time about something that was actually showing on the phone perhaps. Just keep and eye on whats viewable on the ipad.............don't want to see you in clink again! :D
