On the subject of things that "won't work", when my OH had his first house I went to visit and he could not understand why the vacuum cleaner that was only a few months old had stopped working.

He didn't realise you had to empty the bag! The poor thing was packed full all the way up the pipe!!

Emptied it for him and it worked lovely, was a bit worried he might have damaged the motor.

This was about 30 years ago and he still does not know how to empty the Dyson - not letting him near that one!

    Evening all :D

Been a great week. Managed to buy a lovely shiny new toy for me instead of the boys - they're spoilt enough :o The SA said he'd never sold a £229 iPod for £9 before. Was planning on getting a case for it and using a JTD to literally pay pennies but alas, they didn't have any so had to use cold hard cash

God bless clubcard exchange. I've never done it before but all it's taken is nearly a few months of wombling, glitching and some DTDs with no CC points being taken off. Still got £80 of cc vouchers I can double up but think I have almost everything I need now. Even managed a fab steam generator iron for 1/4 the retail price. Actually I got 2 as I couldn't decide between colours so one has been put away - well it was less than the cost of a normal iron though not as cheap as the Ts value one a few months ago :rotfl:

Managed the M&S knicker glitch too - I hope. Figured it was about to get pulled so had to resort to 8 pairs of the same. Thankfully I'm far from offended that they are red, white & blue :j

It's all coming together rather nicely now  :p

lol....I got the Russell Hobbs steam generator iron for £24 and 3 extra for mum, sis and a friend.....and then see that I could've applied and got a better one for free hosting an ironing party :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
