Hi all,
Non buying lurker here. Just caught up on all your posts.
I've sent DH out for some bits from the supermarket, with a list, cos if i go i get tempted by all the american goodies on the shelves, and end up spending a fortune.
Spent a couple of hours on the beach today, and had to come in cos it rained!!!. I've covered myself in Bio oil, put heavy duty conditioner on my hair, and will hop in the shower once I've finished this. We are both so relaxed, and hope to sleep better tonight. The medical students party went on til 5 am, that was ok cos they'd warned us, but i couldn't believe it when they started again at midnight the next night too:eek:. At 3 am I politely asked them to turn the music down. I do need my sleep!!!!! DH slept through it all, even when they set off our car alarm!!
We're off to a lovely beach tomorrow, complete with picnic, drinkies, (oh for some DTD wine), and fishing gear. DH takes his snorkelling kit, I take my Kindle:p. Speaking of which, if any of you more mature peeps have a Kindle I can recommend a book I got today. It is called Diary of a Menopausal Woman, by Cheryl Reid, and costs 90p to download. I've been reading it on the beach, and DH wanted to know what I was laughing at. It is really funny, and will strike a cord with 'those of a certain age' :D. T's pricing is mentioned, as is chocoholism, which we all know about!:rotfl:It's written in diary form, so is very easy to pick up and put down.
Wouldn't you believe it, a load of plants that were supposed to be delivered before we came away have been delivered today. i've had to ask Mum to pot them up for me, cos the DS's wouldn't bother, and the plants would all be dead by the time we get home. Mum and her OH will be here in 2 weeks time. :D
Anyway, enough from me. I hope you're all well and happy. Good wishes and hugs to those who are poorly, dealing with poorly relatives/pets/potential floods/nasty smells etc etc. Too many of you to name, and being blonde and of a certain age I can't remember all the names:o
Off for a shower and a sundowner now:beer:
PS Zippy will be contacting you later with Antigua mobile number

Hi 3dogs, nice to read your post. glad all has gone well with the car collection for you and Alan - and the freebie diesel is always a bonus! Enjoy the car :D
And it's good that you dropped your documents off finally, at least you didn't have another wasted journey of arriving when they were closed. Love to you both xx

I'm a bit nervous but just wanted to say hi if I may?

Found your thread last weekend and you seem a lovely sharing group :)

Been hunting for socks today and found some 4p ones in Bee$ton but much more to my son's taste were some I found on a hanging strip at 50p for a single pair. These are Lego Star Wars "Now I am the Master" size 6-11

Just about to tuck into some reduced to clear strawberry cheesecake and double cream....

Regards

woohoo...finally someone near me!!! welcome msG.....you did well in there....its one of the cleanest, non-glitchiest Ts I've ever been in.....its the nearest to me so I use it mainly for normal shopping....but do L0ngE@t0n, T0pV@lley and Bu!we!! as well at least once a week.....altho bargains seem to be thin on the ground at the mo!!! T-V has the Queen on Trouts on CS, but all have working scanners :)

If I spot anything in these I'll PM you and hide stuff ;)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
