OH went out and came home with an XR3i and a bleeding parrot, and had the cheek to give me a new hoover - saying he had been told that parrots can be a bit messy, so he thought it would make it easier for ME :eek: to clean up after it :eek::eek:
I was absolutely gutted - no new kitchen:mad::mad::mad: needless to say i soon got rid of the selfish git not so long after that happened. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry but that made me laugh!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sounds like my DH. He told me he would get me a tumble drier for my Christmas as with having a new baby I would have so much more washing to do! Emmm.... No!A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist0 -

Thank you for putting the quiz on every day, I really enjoyed the challenge even if I didn't get on for the past few days due to other things happening. It became part of my morning, DS knew to be quiet when I was doing it, probably the only time all day that he was :rotfl:
I hope your ok xxx
Have had an awful day, mum had to get a new washing machine as she tried to fix the old one herself but ended up making it worse  Well that ended up being my fault because my machine wasn't plumbed in yet so she couldn't wait for that to happen, she totally went off on one this morning at me and the guys from Know how/Currys so I just decided I'd go to get stuff done in my own house but felt so fed up with everything I cried from the second I left DS off at school until I reached the house. Arranging for furniture to be delivered next week
Her new washing machine was delivered this morning at 8am but they said they couldn't plumb it in for a few reasons, the first of which is that there has been water leaking around the socket  and they didn't want to get hurt or hurt anyone else. The other reason was that when she had got the kitchen changed around a number of years ago whoever plumbed in the washing machine didn't put the wee valves to turn the water off onto the ends of the pipes so would have resulted in flooding the kitchen  I wouldn't have touched it either.
On a brighter note she did find a plumber who came to have a quick look and will do it all tomorrow :T
I also had an eventful day, builder came and spent 10 mins fixing the hole in the sitting room floor. I managed to plumb in my washing machine in and set it off on the initial wash but when it came to it emptying it flooded the kitchen and I ran in when I heard the water hitting the floor. Turns out that the watse pipe wasn't fixed well, really only pushed together a little, and it had came apart but got that fixed easily and no other problems for the rest of the wash
Got the flooring and underlay for sitting room along with curtains for there too (there are already blinds on those windows but like to have curtains too), a rail for DSes window, paint for his room, paint for most of the other walls in the house along with a blue one for either the bathroom or the kitchen no sure which yetall but the flooring and paint for the other walls was reduced then I used my dad's diamond card to get anther 10% off. In total including the clearance discounts I saved just under £100 :T and best of all the rail and curtain had been full price the day before when I went to scout out what I wanted to get.
Sorry for long post, hope all who are feeling ill/under the weather or just not feeling right feel a bit better.
Good night all

Tonik - your puppies look beautiful. The first litter of puppies my Ex and i ever bred was a litter of 13 rotties - my OH promised me that if i did all the night shifts sitting up with mum and pups for the first three weeks, to make sure she didn't roll on any of them and crush them, that i could have a new kitchen come the end when they had all found new homes. I went out and bought a whelping box to make things a bit easier (out of my savings) for mum and me, and duly did three weeks on the trot of staying awake every night and getting some sleep during the day when the kids were at school/nursery. And when they were big and strong enough i then started to go to bed at night again. When the puppies - which all survived by the way - went to their new homes my OH was sat with over 7 grand in his pocket, and there's little old me all excited at the thought of a new kitchen. OH went out and came home with an XR3i and a bleeding parrot, and had the cheek to give me a new hoover - saying he had been told that parrots can be a bit messy, so he thought it would make it easier for ME :eek: to clean up after it :eek::eek:

13:eek:
I would of been so gutted and got rid too!!
We are going to use any money to get the house adapted for OH as he cant get up/down stairs by himself and we have no down stairs loo
And Sanya I hope you put you DH straight about tumbler dryer :rotfl:0 -
