  • Hello,
Not sure if this will be remembered, but I posted a few days ago about a baby monitor that I had scanned at checkout that came up as 22pence.

Obviously had it taken off me and was told they could not sell it for that price.

Went back in yesterday, AND, the baby monitor was back on the shelf, scanned it myself this time, still showing 22 pence, so got the exact money ready and went through SS.

So I am now the proud owner of a 22 pence baby monitor that was costing £110.00 at Mothercare (out of stock).

I did tell Tia (hope this is right) that it was by Tomy, Sorry Tia this was completly wrong, it is by Tommee Tippee and has the mat that goes under the baby, and an alarm that sounds if baby stops moving, temperature goes up etc.

Hope someone else manages to get one.

Not had chance to read back yet but just seen this on the tesco misprice thread, posted by colin7777:

Finest £10 offer Chunky Chips DTD
Just purchased the Finest for £10 at local express store 24/04/12. No discount so queried it. Manager worked out that the Chunky Chips are not triggering the saving.
Manager got the assistant to deduct all the items and then use another side to get the discount. Worked out £8.33 refund, I said to the assistant what about double the difference so he counted out another £8.33.
So got side, main, desert and Rose wine for £1.67 not bad meal, celebrating my success with the wine at the moment so hope typing is OK.

Just come back in, but will try this tomorrow. More cheap ready meals (hopefully)

Is it possible ( or wise) to marinade mushrooms before baking ?
If they are big, they will lose their juices and will be rubbery. You can blanch them with some lemon juice( to preserve the colour), adding some herbs to your taste:)

Sent out OH,who managed to get some cheese ( SEL £ 5, scanned 2.75), but forgot to use the coupons:rotfl::rotfl: And no idea how, but lost my Fairy moc:D Luckily for him, dinner is ready, so my tail it's not so long - now off to watch The Hairy Bikers' Bakeation - now on BBC2 - it's France tonight:)

    Woohoooooo, I've caught up :j

Ooops, sorry I should say good evening to you all first. It took me ages to read from the start because for some reason the text on here looks smaller than it did the other day.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Mum had results of her CT scan yesterday too, good and bad news, cancer has spread to her ribs, obvious cause of more pain but they are going to try and relieve it with more radiotherapy. Let's hope it makes a difference.

Praying that the radiotherapy helps hun :(
