Another good day for us today :D:D

We got to the hospital at 11 but had to wait until 12 noon to see the consultant, who was delighted with Alan's progress. He said that he was deeply humbled by Alan's attitude and the way we were dealing with his terminal cancer. After examining him, he announced that Alan was his Miracle Man for the way his wound from the abcess had healed so quickly, saying that he'd thought that this wound might not heal up at all or would at least cause big problems. Doc felt that he did not need to make Alan another appointment, but that we should ring one of the specialist nurses if any problems and they would get him in quickly to see to doc. He wished Alan well and said that he would be kept up to date with letters from Palliative Care Doc we are seeing tomorrow

We called at the car boot on the way back for our lunch (all-day breakfast :D) and, when we got home, there was a message from the garage to ring them. When I did, they said that the car was ready and Motability payments all sorted with DWP, so all sorted for us to pick up the car on Thursday 3rd May :j :j

Really pleased. So, as long as Alan is ok to travel, we will drive down to Portsmouth on 4th or 5th May to spend the Bank Holiday weekend with our MSE friends. Then, the following weekend, we will drive up to visit both families on North Tyneside :j :j :j :j

3dogs great news about the car, it was very quick and I'm sure you and Alan will have many happy journeys now.
The consultant was pleased also, so good day all round really. I bet you can't wait to take off to Portsmouth now and get back home to the northeast
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

That is fantastic news. Amazing what a little bit of good news can do to the soul. Hope Alan is OK to travel.

Thought I would have a little womble round the car park tonight as it was dry - what a total waste of time. Never seen so many dumped receipts in the entrance, the trolleys and the floor - nothing but the Helping Hand Coupons - everywhere - looks like Helping Hand Coupon is another Tesco flop!
