Another good day for us today :D:D

We got to the hospital at 11 but had to wait until 12 noon to see the consultant, who was delighted with Alan's progress. He said that he was deeply humbled by Alan's attitude and the way we were dealing with his terminal cancer. After examining him, he announced that Alan was his Miracle Man for the way his wound from the abcess had healed so quickly, saying that he'd thought that this wound might not heal up at all or would at least cause big problems. Doc felt that he did not need to make Alan another appointment, but that we should ring one of the specialist nurses if any problems and they would get him in quickly to see to doc. He wished Alan well and said that he would be kept up to date with letters from Palliative Care Doc we are seeing tomorrow

We called at the car boot on the way back for our lunch (all-day breakfast :D) and, when we got home, there was a message from the garage to ring them. When I did, they said that the car was ready and Motability payments all sorted with DWP, so all sorted for us to pick up the car on Thursday 3rd May :j :j

Really pleased. So, as long as Alan is ok to travel, we will drive down to Portsmouth on 4th or 5th May to spend the Bank Holiday weekend with our MSE friends. Then, the following weekend, we will drive up to visit both families on North Tyneside :j :j :j :j

Hope you have a lovely break 3dogs.

So I am now the proud owner of a 22 pence baby monitor that was costing £110.00 at Mothercare (out of stock).

I did tell Tia (hope this is right) that it was by Tomy, Sorry Tia this was completly wrong, it is by Tommee Tippee and has the mat that goes under the baby, and an alarm that sounds if baby stops moving, temperature goes up etc.

Hope someone else manages to get one.[/QUOTE]
Thanks do much for this. I had a look today in mine but couldn't see any old boxes. Will prob go tomo for a better look. Ta

    Hello 3 dogs.

    Regards to Mr 3 dogs.

May I ask if he is a back seat driver :)

Alan hasn't driven for almost 3 months now but is going to have a try when we get the new car. He isn't in any pain so should be able to drive ok, it will just take a bit of getting used to again. I will be glad when he is driving again as it is taking it's toll on me driving the van with my arthritis as it is a heavy thing to drive ....... plus he won't be commenting on my driving all the time

It occurred to me today that Tesco use their clubcard data to profile their shoppers so they know more about our shopping habits. With all the wombled receipts that screws that data right up. There would be no pattern except what very forgetful people we are always forgetting our clubcards. Guess you might get lots of baby offers now.
Hmmm, hope not! Marmite and rice pudding however?! :rotfl:

    *surveys rainy sky*

I downloaded the Sky View app on my phone, its pretty good, tells you what constellations are which and all sorts

there is another app that i have seen on someone's i-pad that i want- you just aim the phone/pad at whatever you are looking at and it tells you what it is....slightly different to the sky view one but still just as cool

Shame i cant remember what the name of that app is :o

It might be Sky at Night.

Just back from hospital and resting on the settee. i had a colonoscopy and it was quite painful. they diagnosed diverticular disease which should improve if i eat more fibre and fruit. I feel much better now as I thought it was more serious. However no mrT today for me.

My Mum has that it was described to me as the food gets stuck in the holes that you have in your gut, like a child getting their head stuck in railings, when they are trying to get out you get the pain & when they have escaped you run to the toilet.

She thinks she is worse when she has had beef but still has it from time to time when she's not planning to go out for the next few days
