Hi guys
Can I ask some advice? I was at a T and there was a staff member talking as he reduced some food. The staff member was asked was the food reduced more later in the day and he said it was and that at one point it would be free. He was asked when and he smugly said when the store was closed. He said the food was out of date so he would get all of it for free.
The store I was at is one of the worst I have been to for reductions, the one I mentioned that I once visited to find final reductions being made 5 min before close as none had been made since lunch. The so called silly reductions are never made.
The impression given by the smug member of staff suggests the reason the reductions are not made properly because it allows staff to buy reduced items that are not reduced properly for the public. I felt extremely angry and have been planning an email to HO, but wanted to take a moment and check I am not overreacting.
Considering mr Smug may have been lying, is there any reasonable explanation reductions would never reach silly level.
No they can't just take it for free. It has to be thrown out if not sold. Even taking it out of the bin after it has been thrown out is considered stealing and a sackable offence.
He's ether lying to look clever (why?!) or the store are doing things very wrong. The store manager would be in a lot of trouble if he was letting staff take things for free, even whoopsies.0 -
Evening all
Been to 3 Extras today and stupidly wore heels and now my feet are killing me
Only one of the 3 had the cheese and it was actually marked on SEL as £2.75! Stocked up and got 9 packs, used 6 coupons - very pleased, that should keep kids and DH going with packed lunches for a while.
Also got 10 of the 1p Haribo Heart Throb sweets off a clipstrip in the sweetie aisle
On the home clearance bit, I got some lush bright red weighing scales for my new kitchen. They're quite retro looking and I love them, they were a bargain at £4.26 - showing at £14.99 on Direct

I also got a long, chrome utensil hanger rail thing for £1.17
All in all, a good haul0 -

On an impulse purchase, I got cordsodyl mouthwash and toothpaste in superdrug the other day, 2 for £5 something
I have never, ever tasted a toothpaste so rank and nasty in all of my life, and I can still taste the toothpaste halfway through the day
Does it taste like the mouthwash - I had to use the mouthwash daily for a month and it left my mouth feeling weirdqueen_of_cheap wrote: »*surveys rainy sky*
I downloaded the Sky View app on my phone, its pretty good, tells you what constellations are which and all sorts
there is another app that i have seen on someone's i-pad that i want- you just aim the phone/pad at whatever you are looking at and it tells you what it is....slightly different to the sky view one but still just as cool
Shame i cant remember what the name of that app is
The one I have on my iPad is called Night SkyHi all,
Used to be a bit nervous of the ss tills but been in S a few times Palmoliving so am getting rather confident now.Hate to say it but I get quite a buzz couponing & whoopsieing. Is this normal?Love it.!!!Tried wombling a few times but just had one for £6 and a couple with points.
I agree it does feel good - don't know if you saw someone posted a great tip in the last thread that you can turn the volume off (I think I forgot to say thank you to who it was and I can't remember who mentioned it now but thank you very much) this is great especially if the shop is quiet0 -
So very sorry to hear about your mum, Tinyshoes. You must be so worried:( I hope that the treatment has the desired outcome.
3dogs, fantastic to hear about the car. It will be a godsend in keeping in touch with friends and family. Greater independance for Mr Miracleman too:T:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

It's against Tesco policy for them to reduce stuff for the staff and not the public. The staff can ONLY buy the stuff when off duty and must fight with the rest of the customers for it.
To file a complaint though you need to KNOW that is what they are doing as its possible the manager just has it all wasted.
If you find your suspicions to be correct then email the CEO's office and ask for their comments on the matter.0 -
getting better at this, did'nt have to ask how to edit something.
Barcode sorted out now.
When I typed the item in google, it came up on 'HOT' quite a few months ago for £27.
so maybe I was just lucky in finding this, especially the second time.
Why do T take something off you and say they cannot sell it for that price and then put it back on the shelf, is their any logic to this!
Good luck to everyone, be lucky :rotfl:0 -
