been out all day - came back home to only 6 pages to catch up on....woop - easy peasy :rotfl: then I noticed the thread had closed and I had another 20 pages on here as well  but 3 hours later and I'm finally there!! Thanks to Westie for the new thread and great title!queen_of_cheap wrote: »3
Someone was asking on the last thread about the Shrek film boxset....i ordered it and have just had a cancellation email, along with a £1.50 voucher, to go with the £1 voucher they emailed me yesterday!
I think i'm just going to let these vouchers build up on there if they are going to keep sending them to me at the rate that they are!
Ok, back to work now :-(
i ordered them too and got the cancellation email - but just tried to use the code they emailed me as an apology alongside the 'promotional welcome' code and it wont let me - checked T&Cs and you cant use more than 1 code per transaction - didnt want you to get your hopes up
for those using the Loreal vouchers...I checked using mysupermarket and S didnt seem to stock half the stuff and wasnt showing any offers either.....yet instore and on S actual website there is 1/3 off most Loreal products - and their prices work out cheaper than T and A on a lot.....I got the make up remover in T for £2.87...was £2 in A (so got JTD as well as using £2.50 moc)...yet in S its only £1.87...so money off your shopping!! Needless to say, I used the rest of my mocs in Shoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -
Very O/T question but does anyone know where I can buy one of those long handled, litter picking things that you see people using? No, it's not for wombling receipts but to try and rescue a wall clock that has fallen down into a cavity wall:o. Difficult to explain the situation but OH was using a club hammer and chisel to knock a hole through a wall(yes I,ve got her well trained:rotfl:) and the vibrations caused the clock to drop off the wall and down the cavity:eek:. It's just out of reach but I think I could "grabbit" with one of those.
It might also help me to remove some of the frightening amount rubble:mad: that I can see down in the cavity at around DPC level at a point that seems to coincide with a bit of rising damp that I've had to have treated.
See you later:)
Hiya, this has probably been answered already, but I'm still on the first page:eek:trying to play catch up as per usual! So if it has been answered just ignore me lol. Arthur, Asda have a section for disabled gadgets. They sell the 'grabbers' for about £7. I don't know if that will help, or if they would be the thing you are looking for, but thought I'd post just in case.
I've been sooo busy preparing for our holiday. DH likes me to organise everything so I can't moan at him when he forgets something. So far today the packing is nearly finished, the currency is sorted, airport hotel confirmed, car hire confirmed, ride to the airport confirmed, passports checked, and credit cards sorted! I've renewed the contents insurance in true mse style, via quidco with £55 cashback, hope it tracks! I've defrosted the freezers, cooked dinner, (whoopsied spatchcock poussins, posh eh, with whoopsied baby new potatoes, and veg).
Tomorrow is house blitzing day, washing, ironing, sorting out instruction lists for the DS's, a quick trip to Argos for a new laptop bag for DH, and a possible sneak into our favourite retailer on the way, (purely for cat food and litter to use up the flop vouchers for £2.50 off £10 you understand, nothing else!!!:p)
Mustn't forget to pot up the cheapo plants I got from T&M's offers.:D
We're really looking forward to meeting zippydooda and OH while we're away. It'll be nice to show them around, and enjoy a good 'elite' chat over a few drinks.;);)
I probably won't post any more til we're there, so I'll say bye for now, :wave:and finish catching up on all your posts. Hugs to all those who need them:grouphug:, or want them.
PS thanks to Westie for the new thread, and I've found HC's instructions for posting pics, so if I can master it I'll post some while we're away.:wave:Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Fingers crossed for him to get the job!
I've been bit sick today, so I stayed at home - no T's. Sent out OH,who managed to get some cheese ( SEL £ 5, scanned 2.75), but forgot to use the coupons:rotfl::rotfl: And no idea how, but lost my Fairy moc:D Luckily for him, dinner is ready, so my tail it's not so long - now off to watch The Hairy Bikers' Bakeation - now on BBC2 - it's France tonight:)
Thank you, he is planning his presentation right now. It is only a part time position but the extra hours he has been doing to top up after losing half his job last year come to an end next week. He will work both part time postitions for a while to make sure that managing suits him if he gets it and we think we may be able to cope financially with him working part time in the future. Of course with the help of the Elite 11.Praying that the radiotherapy helps hun
:rotfl: :rotfl: Well done on the loss Debs
Thanks 3Dogs, consultant could not guarantee that it will help with the pain relief this time, in the past they were very confident it would but they have to leave the area well alone on her spine where it has already had treatment before. But at least it has been offered, she has already had a phone call for the planning appointment on friday. She is very sleepy today, think she is trying to block things out.
How is Alan, missed your reports over the weekend.0
