Thanks. Boys are home from school and DS1 is still moaning about the 18 games thing. So I have put cotton wool in my ears so I don't get drawn into it again.
Off to look at the kitchen and cook tea.
When they try the 'but X's parents let them'.. I usually counter with 'and some parents beat their children to death, some treat them as slaves and some sell them. Others leave them to die and others abandon them on doorsteps.. it doesn't make any of them right!'
My brother was allowed to watch older movies from being very little and it was just inappropriate.. he was watching stuff like terminator and alien at about 3.. way out of order! Then they complained when he was acting out the behvaiour he had sat and watched.. well DUH! Amuses me that he was allowed to watch that yet we weren't allowed to watch Grange Hill because it had references to sex, teenage pregnancy and drugs.. silliness!
Dinner on.. Squeak being a little ratbag and meddling in everything.. her new game is climbing.. I have taken her off the top of the pc desk and taken the phone off her, I have taken her off the dining table and taken plates off her.. she's not even 2 yet!
Wm third load in
TD on
DW emptied and reloaded
off to squash Squeak and get the potatoes in..
Dot fed and happily kicking her legs in the air and making a stink!
Welcome Mama7... and I have 10.. does your house need more you's? Mine needs more me's as I seem to be the only person who does anything and 1 person cannot clean up 10 peoples mess (my oldest 2 no longer live at home)

Gosh - I feel so inadequate!
Was MIA this morning - had an unusual weekend to say the least - went to Mum's as planned on Saturday, went really well, she looks really well given all the family ups and downs we've had lately (and are still going on!) So that was a 280 mile round trip - bless DH, as he only passed his test last year, still seems to think of driving as 'fun' - so never complains about taking his turn!
Yesterday - well the plan was the usual washing, ironing, shopping, catch up stuff - then we heard on Twitter that someone we 'chat' with has lost his beagle on Friday - he and his family were on holiday and his MIL was dog sitting at her house in Suffolk - they live in Hertfordshire. Poor Louis got spooked by the thunder and lighning and bolted - so the search parties have been out since then. He's been sighted several times but seems to think it's a huge adventure. So when we saw the news on Sunday that he was missing we took one look at each other, our 2 beagles and thought 'sod the housework, lets go on a beagle hunt!' An 85 mile drive there, horrible weather, but the thought of the poor dog being away from home was enough to get us there. We didn't see him ourselves but there were other sightings (and a few today too) so the plan is that tonight the MIL will wait in the car park and see if he returns - there was talk of the RSPCA providing large traps as he runs away otherwise! It's been quite nerve wracking and all over Twitter and Facebook, we all keep looking for updates!
Anyway, I digress - at least I've just about caught up with the washing, the penultimate lot is drying and the last load is washing - so I will now start on the ironing! Might get level 1 done later - in between checking for updates on Louis the missing beagle!
Thanks to everyone for the lists - I'd never get half way there without you all!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!

valli BUY THE SHOES!!
xFlying got stopped by discovering I'm the worst parent in the world. DS1 let rip about me being over protective and him not being about to have 18 cert games (he is 15). I don't let him do anything and he is a laughing stock at school etc etc.
stand by your guns - there are things I permitted them to watch (Phoenix Nights) which they were too young for but were watched with me there so we could 'discuss' issues.
And there were games I wouldn't countenence. And when I got the X's mum lets him they got I'm not X's mum I'm your mum and you're not...
In fact, apart from the apparently incessant requests for cash there's not much they nag for. They ask once, twice at a push but seem to take no for an answer. But it's not always no; it depends.

In addition to everything I have crossed off I have cleaned the family bathroom (lots of mud from boys football ). I have also pushed 3 loads through the WM. £80 Tesco shop in the pouring rain.
I hope your dog returns Sagaris.
How did the blood test go MummyRoys?
18/15 certificates cause so many rows in this house! Not only on DVD's but PS3 games. Glad to know I have similar views to the rest of you.
I survived my first day in the new job! It's challenging getting to grips with a new industry.0
