Making up Afternoon Tea Hampers for both our mums, a large teacup planter filled with a voucher for afternoon tea at local posh hotel, nice tea/coffee, nice cup, photo calendar, plant to go in afterwards and homemade biscuits. Anyone else got any idea what else? They are both so hard to buy for.

Some nice hot chocolate and marshmallows? Some fluffy warm socks or gloves?

Online Asda shopping done - £81.50 including bits for Christmas baking and lots for the freezer. £8.50 balance from food budget added to holiday clothes pot - £112.50/£250.

Have reached payout on N3wv1sta as well so that'll be another £50 OP when it arrives. Also reached payout on 1Ps0s but they're out of stock of *mazon vouchers which is annoying at this time of year. Along with £50 I'm waiting for from Ugov that's £110 in total due just from surveys:T

Am now driving around in an old Rover 25, which is exactly the same car my mother drives which I have been taking the P*** out of for years!! Still it has 4 wheels and goes from A to B. I'd be stuck without it.

Planning on a big mince pie baking session tomorrow. Looking forward to next weekend when we have Gingerbread Houses planned.

A mould!!! Just roll it out and cut around a paper template. We make them every year, the girls usually have friends over too and they all love it. They never get eaten though as after it's been on display for a fortnight or so it's all dusty.

Second job payday today, £50 to DD1s school trip £250/£300 & £35 to log burner fund.

Received £50 from Ugov & £10 *mazon voucher from 1ps0s so both OPd to mortgage.

Not well last night so DH told me to stay at home today. Feeling better now so feel like a bit of a fraud. But DH has insisted I stay at home and he is the boss! Might bake a cake to take in tomorrow.

  • Rubbish, only just read your invite for HM mince pies - hope they were good and mine was suitably enjoyed in my absence!

  • Umm I'll sit these ones out too... not a fan of marzipan (which I guess tastes similar to almond frangipane!). Thanks for the offer though!
