No - spilt everything fairly. Could have argued for more in court, but just wanted shot of him, so I could get on with my life. That's worth far more than money and material thingsHere I go again on my own....0

I don't know if I want somebody with such blatant anger management issues on the road. Maybe you'd be better off switching to public transport for the sake of other road users.0

lets sort out the crap once and for all
firstly given your vigorous defence i suspected brazilian wax had some allegance to the car insurance industry
ok, lets assume i deliberately witheld info - decieftful? -yes fraudulent? -yes , a scam? - yes - yet that is what in my experience car insurance companies have been doing consistently in the 20 years of car insurance i and friends and family have experienced (ive had to have claims settled with the intervention of my MP, others have gone on for 2-3 years - in fact they do it so blatantly every day just look in yellow pages ads "cheapest car insurance in the world ever ever guaranteed -we will beat any quote and insure 17 year old chavs in cosworths blah blah blah " - all blatant lies and deciet - i find that disgraceful
as for how could i forget the claim for !!!!!! theres loads of drivers who dont know there number plate never mind when they had a claim!
actually , paradoxiacally, im not surprised that they tried to fleece an extra £60-over the years one becomes conditioned(but irritated) to these anti consumerist conditions they impose
You forgot the claim - no big deal, It does make me laugh when people go on about fraud, when someone's made a genuine mistake...but by the same token, you forgot something which was relevant to your policy premium, so it's gone up. As you seem to know already how insurance companies work, you seem to be getting very worked up for something which seems inevitable.
Insurance companies are there to make money, helping you as their customer is a secondary issue.
But please stop insulting everyone on the thread, it's getting a little tedious. You have had £60 worth of moaning imho.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

come on , i may have put my views across a tad too robustly but i haven't insulted everyone -only car insurers
if i have had a few sharp words then it is only in self defence0 -
i do agree its unfair that insurance companies put the price of the policy up when its not out fault, we had our new sofas delivered by argos who then kindly drove into our car on the way out, they admited fault straight away (they couldnt really argue) and then we have had to pay extra on our insurance because of themIf you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
DMP start jan 2012 hopefull finish march 2020

I have cut out rest of the stop because it really was just pure venting. You tried to scam the insurance company and they caught you on. They have made a small adjustment to your insurance to cover the addtional risk that they see you to be. Count yourself lucky because without insurance and given that you have obviously been involved in several incidents you could have been out many thousands of pounds.
This is why we have insurance and if you make ANY claim on it your premiums may rise ... jeez your premiums may simply rise simply due to inflationary pressures or because other people have made loads of claims. personally I believe that we should do away with all the third party insurcnace and each person simply insures themselves .. therefore if there is an accident then each person claims from their own insurance . if they do not have any then tough (irrespective of blame).
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Did you not tell bell you had an accident beforehand? The stats show that people with non-fault claims are more likely to claim in the future than those with no claims. And if you didn't tell them, you were lucky to get away with £60 - had you claimed, they could have refused to pay out on the grounds of non-disclosure.
And I think legal protection is compulsory with some insurers - part of the t&c's that you take it with the policy. I treat it as part of the quote.
I always wondered why they asked for this information on no fault claims, i now know. I have had 2 no fault claims in the past 6 years, which hasn't actually cost my insurance anything and even though i did give all information i couldn't actually see the point..0 -
firstly ivanopinion you need to stop quoting out of context, also my claims record is well below average- my thread stated claims for family and friends who have i have had to assist when they have been bullshitted by their insurance company.Yes i am venting - why the hell shouldn't i? Ive had a panicking press officer from GRE begging me he will settle the claim and to stop the media getting involved.
Yes scams do force up insurance but not forgetful ones like mine , but staged and faked accidents scams are the real problem - agree? now most of these scams are laughably amatuerish and balatantly fraudulent and its the same names appearing again and again -key word again and again -that means the idiot insurance companies are paying out again and again to these blatant scammers - so the incomptent insurance companires are forcing up your premuims because they are not doing their job properly -it aint me (dont shoot the messenger) - im keeping them down0
