Too much month left at the end of the money

Just sawed down a fallen tree from the recent storms in the garden.. Not long off leaving for work..
Been super good diet wise so far today.. Starting weight of 190.4 pounds. Eeeeek! Anyway last time I'm going to see those figures on my scales!
Tiddlers are starting to wake from their naps, so best be off. X0 -
What a hectic few days.. Original work have agreed to make me redundant which is amazing. Still waiting for the figures but its the best outcome i coukd have hoped for. Start my proper shifts at my new job this weekend.. And just looking forward to not having the stress or hassle anymore.
Diet just not happened, but now feel in a much better place to spend the next 6 months concentrating on me and a diet without the stress.
I need to have a number crunching session to work out where we are with stuff. I also shocked myself after messing about with a mortgage calculator at how much interest and time spent paying our mortgage we could save if we overpaid every month. Flipping scary stuff!!0 -
I've subscribed to your diary Belle
You've done amazingly well with what you have cleared already.
Good news on the redundancy (I bet that's not a phrase said often!!) xLBM 24/05/2012 :TAugust NSD 10/12 * £2 savers0 -
Thanks Badger, I'm following you as well.
So plan for today is to start to look for a new car. I have a company car which obviously will go back. We have up to £3k to spend, but just looking for something half decent and reliable that can fit two toddlers and our buggy in.
eBay sales bought me in £67 last night. Need to get some more stuff on today as well.
Work later. All in all, I'm happy and feel in a good place, money troubles aside.0 -

Been reading and what a great job of debt busting you have made - wish I had your willpower.
Great news on the redundancy - makes you wonder if they are worried you might be goiung to sue them for consrtuctive dismisal. Either way it will be some helpful cash for the pot.
Hope the night work goes well - I tried a weekend stocktaking job earlier this year but it was too much for me with the day job as well. I used to get home from at 7am on Monday morning and have to be in at 3pm - the boss once called me to ask me to do an 11am start and I was like a zombie by the time I had finished :rotfl:0 -
Hi peppermint patti and jayjay. Thanks for popping in.
I indicated I would take them to tribunal and I had a decent stack of evidence.. Possibly couldn't more than what I am getting but the stress, time delays and the possibility I might lose means I can walk away with some pennies, a reference I can write myself and my head held high.
I'm probably kidding myself how knackered I'm going to be, but then my sleep has been in short supply since having the tiddlers 18 months ago.
Sun is out here so washing out, tiddlers asleep, time for some quick eBay listing and a cuppa before work..
Found some definite possibles for cars today including a converted Nissan camper van type thing. Totally what we were looking for a while ago so that we could just disappear for weekends away. Need to do some research though on economy on all of them.. Quite excited at the thought of a new motor.x0 -
Morning all..
Well the weight loss battle starts in earnest today. 189 pounds starting weight, so 50 to go.
Work was good last night although I ache this morning.. They reckon it takes four weeks or so before it stops hurting. At least the body is getting some exercise after years of sitting in computers.
eBay listings done, not much planned for today.. Chill out with the tiddlers and then off to work this evening.
Trying to win some second hand slabs on eBay to do our garden. We just want a mis match of slabs and stones out there as the property we have is old and new stuff would look strange. Got outbid by £1 last night, hoping to win some today.0 -
Plus it's payday which means another loan payment gone and our debt is under £14k. Whoop whoop0

Hey if your body is aching it means it's exercising, so great for the weightloss. Active jobs are great for that reason.
Sounds like you're doing great on the debt front and really making a difference. Ebay sales are super. I should probably do some of that myself!I'll have some cheese please, bob.0
