Quick update from me, my work situation has turned horrendous, so I'm rapidly looking for alternatives. But impossible to find something paying what we need that meets our childcare needs, so I'm looking at working nights. Few hours of searching last night, turned up a possible, so I'm off for an interview on Thursday with them.. But if I got it, it will leave us short every month.. Lay awake worrying last night about everything x

Oh no smiley-hug005.gif you mustn't do that. Come on here and air it all they'll be plenty of us to give you a bit of spirit back.

Wow on the debt paid back smiley-signs130.gif and i too think the name of the diary is great!!
Good luck and fingers crossed on the interview

Well slept better last night. Got to ring about another job on Sunday morning. Local working nights in a bakery.. So another possible.. Also applied for a admin job in the parish which is flexible so would fit round the kids. Feel so very anxious about everything though as know things with main job will get worse soon, I can't cope being there anymore.

Stuck a few things on eBay last night and one sold already so off to the PO to post that and fathers day cards. Then job searching and applications forms for later today.

Bit miserable weather wise here today. Send some sun my way please x

Good day in the end, reduced mobile phone bill from £29.09 to £15.50 and saved an extra £1.28 not having itemised billing. Also completed a you gov survey and finally got my £50 payout after three years of doing surveys!!! The government drives a hard bargain.

All ready for interview tomorrow, so want this job.. It's ideal in most ways and the pressure will be lifted somewhat..

Few things to list on eBay tonight and another job application to finish..

Fairly good diet day.. Tomorrow can be even better x

Happened to log into nectar tonight and found I'd got enough points for a £10 amazon voucher which was a bonus. Will start stockpiling them for Xmas gifts. Also caught up with a few survey sites which pay out quite well if you do the surveys regular. eBay done, job app done.. Bed me thinks.

Morning.. Well interview in few hours. Feeling really calm and hopeful.. Also had an email to say I'd passed an online recruitment assessment for another job, so have to take my application form into the place now.. So a few options hopefully.. It's working interview today so I have to wear jeans. Seems really strange to wear jeans to an interview..

Guess the rest of the day will depend on how the interview goes, but have another application form to post off. Few more items to eBay as well.

    Wish me luck x

Hi Belle, Nice to find your diary. The similarities between our missions are startlingly similar! I also have 50lbs to lose too :-)

Seems like you are doing a great job so far. Going to subscribe to your diary and absorb some of your energy and motivation. 75% of that huge debt in two years is amazing. Well done and keep up the good work!

Good luck for the job interview by the way.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

Thank you all for your support. So appreciated

Well the great news is I got the job!! After a four hour interview and practical assessment, they said it was mine!!

Financially means we are going to be so tight.. Hoping tax credits will make up the shortfall but you just can't buy sanity and quality of life.. I'll never get these years back with my kids and I'm such a big believer in 'it'll be all right in the end'. Fingers crossed..

Anyway still applying for other jobs, hope to get a further part time job to fit round this one. Going to be working nights in this new job, never done a night shift in my life.. Any tips??

Rightly or wrongly we had a takeaway tonight to celebrate. Will be our last for a long while.
