Hi - very quick message from me to change my target from £200 to £250 please.
Been chatting on my diary and after this week's shop realising that slashing my costs form £300 to £200 is a bit ambitious for my first month but will try for the £250.
Will update properly when get a bit of time. Must avoid all the lovely looking cake photographs on the previous page - mmmmmmm!!!GC June £78.50 / £250, May £262 / £250.

Naughty spend day for me today..
So I spent €1.49 in dealz, brill considering I'd usually spend more than €15 in there and not think about what I'm buying..
Then onto lid*s. were I spent €0.56 on 2 cans of baked beans (love my beans I do!)
Then Mr Ts.. got 2 cans of tuna for €1.28. Now between this all, I was given back €2 in change by accident so my cost for that lot was really only €1.35!
went to a friends house then and they said we should get a take away so I got one which came to €4.57! (discount voucher)
Will update the siggy to reflect spends.. Hoping for a NSD tomorrow but I am going to home bargains so fingers crossed!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Well I think this cooking is making me rather fat so Ive started cutting down today!(I dunno how long it will last tho)
I made a tea/supper dish very cheaply tonight after buying a few calorie counted WW frozen ones(not the norm for me)and this is what I did:
50g dry weight of value rice(40p per kilo in Mr A at present so) cost 2p
Half a tin of chopped toms(calling them 40p per can) 20p
half a tsp oregano(Lidl)
half a teaspoon dried garlic(Lidl)
half a teaspoon chilli powder
Cook the rice in one pan and while thats cooking cook the rest in another pan. Simmer to soak in all of those flavours!
Cost approx 25p. I had that as it was but you could add a piece of chopped up ham chicken or beef into it for about 80 calories extra and whatever price you pay for it(guessing about 40p). Tonights version cost me 25p and 220 calories! So with a slice of meat approx 65p and 300 calories so cheaper by 35% than an Iceland readymeal! Alternatively top with a sprinkle of cheese if you just want the cheap version not the very low calorie one.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

If anyone wants some silicon bakeware, HB is selling some for £1.99 each. I have never seen it this cheap before. They are only in grey in our shop, probably why they are cheap.
Welcome to our newbies.
Hugs to all who need one.
I've seen them in Poundland too.
Did nip out to buy mushrooms for my cottage pie as well as a bottle of red wine to have in & with the cottage pie. I think I was undercharged by 81p :j DH text me while out to get P*psi Max too! I had read about it being cheaper at the moment in co-op so had to detour to there! 2 bottles-94p each.
Boosted the cottage pie with red lentils. I have to say it was probably the nicest one I've made. DH & both DDs enjoyed it too. Had parsnips, Green beans, broccoli, peas & gravy with it. DH knows I've been boosting some of our meals with red lentils recently but he seemed surprised when I told him after dinner today! DH & DD1 had seconds & there's still enough for Friday night for 4 kids (I'm having my friend's 2 young children Friday to Sunday:eek:) So that'll go in the freezer.
Dessert was leftover (from Easter Sunday) rhubarb crumble out of the freezer. That now gives me a bit of space to go get some of Ald1's cheap rhubarb!

Had first spends over the weekend. £15 on fruit and veg at the market which included a big watermelon for £2 and all our fruit and salad stuff for the week, we eat of lot of it :rotfl:Then somehow spent £32 in Sainsbobs when we didn't need much:eek: still we got a biggish rack of lamb for £6 odd instead of over £12 and there were 3 bottles of cider for DH and 3 boxes of sheba as its a good price for the spoilt little girl cat.
We got two boxes of 48 pouches of whisk*s in pets at h*ome for £10.89 each and then 3 x 4 boxes of feli* in just for p*ts for £10.49 each as well as 7 packets of RC biscuits at £2.49 so moggie food for most of the month for less than £100:T
Yesterday we went to Stoke for the Portmeirion sale and while there went to a speciality farm shop in Trentham gardens and found they were selling rose veal. I've been trying to convert my MIL from buying european veal to British so bought a two rib piece which was £18 as well as two bottles of r*cks in different flavours even though they were £3.50 each.
So the final figure for us is £72 and for the cats its £70.68. They still need some litter and some more sheba but that's it.I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

Aiming for it to be a NSD today, but the children are at their dad's, so I'll have to keep myself busy, or recite my mantra! I don't need anything, I don't need anything, ...
Lunch for me is sorted, as I'm having leftovers, and the children have asked for toad in the hole for dinner, so I'm just off to take some sausages out of the freezer.
Have a good day everyone, despite the weather!
