How awful for you S-1 am, hope it is sorted soon, at least the bank is on top of things.
Chilly here today, i have had the heating on for nearly an hour and it will be going off shortly. Trying to decide what soup to make tomorrow, based on what i have in stock it is looking likely to be carrot & lentil. Hopefully i will be able to find a few scraps of ham to add to it from the freezer.

Just a little tip. My DDs & I love the massive Greek Yogurt in Lid1 but have found a compromise in T*sco. They have started selling a large 'local' natural Yogurt (Lancs yet we're in worcs) for only £1.59. It is so creamy, like Greek yogurt. We have used it for breakfast, in curry, on chilli & for raita! Very good.

Where did you get the Shereddies for 80p?

I'm really bad at having rubbish/nothing/toast when DH doesn't need feeding so have started keeping enough for one packaged up in the freezer. Last night I had a salmon fillet with sweet potato gratin & red cabbage on my own! Normally that's a Saturday night tea!!

Good for you, when I had another half and kids to feed i always seemed to eat leftovers or rubish neals and I know my health suffered for this, now I am lucky no other half and kids grown up so can have just about what i please and can afford.

    Hi All, me again!
Forgot to say that if anyone loves Rachels Orgainc greek Style Coconut yogurt as much as i do (which is a LOT!!!), then i have just found a similar product in Mr T.
I normally buy the Rachels one for about £1.79 i think, but the Mr T one is £1 and tastes VERY similar! Its not orgainc (the Mr T one), and is slightly more runny than the Rachels, but is a great alternative!
I have it everyday for breakfast, poured over granola.

Talking of granola- i am loathe to admit it, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE Jordans Crunchy oat granola, but its sooo expensive!!!
Does anyone have any brands/ideas for alternatives please?

I have had a lovely girls day out shopping with 3 girlfriends today - really enjoyed myself :j

Spends were £1.50 diet coke for lunch, £3.49 in Thorntons for menapausal moments ;), M&S £8.69 for 49p sauces and 99p colour catchers (big reductions so that will be paid for by Second Purse), £1.76 in Clintons on 1/2 price Yankee votives (a treat from 3rd Purse :D), £7.50 for Hemp Foot Cream (another treat from 3rd Purse :D) £3.50 at market, so total of £26.44 spent but only £8.49 out of the grocery budget.

I had Weetabix for brekkie before I left.

Diet Coke in a cafe at lunchtime.

Steak with mushrooms, peppers and onions for tea.

I love Lidl luxury granola - they do a fruit one with is lush and a nut one, they cost £1.99 is that a better price? I havent tried the Jordans.

And Lidl Greek Style yogurt at £1.58 for a kilo is gorgeous, I now like it more than the Rachels Coconut one - the greek style is gorgeous on the granola :D
