Our first spend of the month and we needed it's of fresh stuff, some store cupboard staples, nappies and baby bath bubbles. Went to aldi and filled our trolley for £29 :j, stopped at tesco for few bits remaining on list and it cost us £19  not much for your money in mr t, that's for sure. Refused to pay over £3 for baby bath in tesco, popped to asda later today to get two big bottles on offer for £3 (we only buy the johnsons bedtime stuff!). Total spend today, £50.26, which should keep us stocked up for a good while now.0

Anyone know what time is best for whoopsies at the supermarkets?
hi, i tend to go to mr t about 7 ish i find that to be the best time for whoopsied goods especially the meat!!! i think they try to hold onto the meat a bit longer to see if they can sell them in the teatime rush. the veg for some reason gets reduced earlier about 6.however the bread is about half 5.so i normally go in and drift about lol i STALK the reducing trolley (long ago got over being embarassed) i love going looking. usually go once a week but wont be going into a sm now for weeks.......................i have a serious ocd about my freezers MUST NOT SEE SHELF SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! think i a bad mum if i dont have every conceivable type of meat in province. so this is my first month joining the grocery challenge as i NEED to defrost both freezers so no choice but to avoid buying any more food and deffo use up what i have . think i could easily get to end of may without buying so started fiscal fasting today and keeping my money in purse in cupboard I SHALL SUCCEED , actually looking forward to it good luck!!!C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinaterI dont suffer from insanity....I enjoy every minute of it!!.:)

Hi Guys & Gals,
This is my first grocery challenge. Move in to my first place this weekend. So my budget is a total and utter guess! for three adults and two rats I'll put down £250. I doubt if I'll stick to it as I must have a moving- in party (or three!) but it's worth a go.

Morning all
I'm in on this challenge again too - £150 for the whole shebang - food, toiletries, cat litter etc etc. I'll record it in my signature, thanks.
Had a serious lapse the other night, and went into Mr As for teabags after a rough work day...came out with chocolate and alcohol and a spend of £32+
I'm away this weekend, so hope to shop on sunday when I get back - this will be a mini stock up shop as still going to be living out of freezer & store cupboard next month. It's worked well the last few months, and there's now a teeny bit of room in both :rotfl:
Good luck for May everyone
