Yet another sneaking back in after a long lay off. Not been spending loads but could definately do better! Whoopsie hunting has slid on the long cold nights too but went last night for the first time in ages and got a decent number of bargains. So I'm spurred into doing that again from now on.

budget of £240 for the month pls starting from payday on Friday till 29th May

    Hi all *waves*

I did te challenge for a hile last year, but with the arrival of my first baby in Feb I haven't been keeping up for a while, I figure that's a pretty good excuse ;) I've been looking at my accounts today & while my food spending has gone up it hasn't reached the levels it was at before I started the challenge (despite rising prices) so it's clearly had a lasting impact to some extent at least.

Nonetheless it's time I started paying more attention again, so I'm going to try for £140 for May - for 2 adults & a baby, including toiletries & cleaning stuff.

I went to A$da at 8pm on Tues eve, very little to choose from whoopsiewise, and what was left had only got 10p/20p off the full price! For me not worth spending the petrol to get there.

I have managed to get some good stuff in Mr T in the past, but in my local shop there doesn't seem to be a particular time they put whoopsies out, its just luck that you are there at the right time!

NSD for me, Costa coffee bought for me at lunch, gorgeous HM cake made by a friend to nibble on this eve whilst watching The Apprentice and chinese take away (OH paying)
.......... its my birthday :bdaycake: woo woo .................

    Hello

Although i came in under budget (:j) for april, I'm going to stick with £100 for May as its going to be a 5week month for me starting tomorrow (payday) til next one on 31st May. Going to be a very loooooooong month, with a wedding reception the weekend b4 payday.

Im sure i'll manage. made a chicken n chorizo pesto pasta bake using up stuff defrosted from freezer and the storecupboard which gave me 5 portions for freezer, so got at least 10 days worth of main meals plus about 6 soup portions left. this emptying the freezer is not going very well! i'll get there eventually i suppose!

also made a loaf today. 1st in ages, handmade and quite light instead of my usual dense effort, just a shame the oven was too hot n it burnt the top :rotfl::rotfl: nevermind, still tastes good!

    enough rambling from me
    bonne chance everyone! :)
