NSD so far today. Going out this evening, so just need to make sure I'm home late enough that I don't want to go and mooch!!
Help!
We are having a puddings evening on Friday, to raise money for charity. £1 per pud/slice/serving, and £1 for the recipe or something like that. What can I do that's easy and that will impress?! Bearing in mind that there will be about 20 people there...
TIA

Can I ask a question please? I have left over bolognaise sauce but I have left over spaghetti as well. I would usually just freeze the sauce, but have never frozen cooked pasta before.
Will it work if I put the pasta in a dish and put the sauce on top or do I need to mix them together or is it best to not freeze the pasta. ie will it go soggy?
Thanks for any advice.Jan GC £300/£296 :j March GC £375/£336:j

OH a pudding night, havent been to one of those for years (like about 40):rotfl:Always used to love them, my contribution was usually a big tray of bread pudding. Other things that went well were treacle tart topped with cornflakes, fruit pies or crumbles
andof course rice pudding. Have a great time.Slimming World at target0 -

Evening all, oh picked up some oregano for me, so i have made tea ready for tomorrow evening. And because he is the lovely man he is, also bought me a couple of magazines. Left a tub of stew out for oh for lunch tomorrow as he really enjoyed it. I have put a tub of it in the freezer which will be enough for a pie for 4 of us.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404

Hi everyone
Does anyone know when the June GC starts?
I get paid Thursday and want to get started then :T but thought id wait for June GC to state my intentions
Ive been keeping upto date with Mays and borrowed many ideas and am ready (if not alitle scared lol) to get goingO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
oh limey -I hang my head in shame - have been awol from thread soooo much, since last month:o
But I have tried to keep within my budget of £225 but must admit without actually declaring my spends on here on a regular basis I know I have gone over - by £45.86! so May is being declared at £265.86
Twice this month I have bought one loaf of bread short each week and have had to go to shop had both DD's in tow -bang goes another £6 as they want extras!
Plus had DD2 twice with me when I did main shopping - she can stay at home next time -it's only because her timetable has changed at college and buses are horrendous so I have to pick her up on way to shopping -might have to drop her back home as am sure it costs less in petrol than to have her with me shopping!
Plus for some reason have been hitting the cake and biscuits more this month - don't know why as am not normally sweet toothed as this so need to curb that one quickly
But on the upside -did restock up on lots of loo paper when the offer was on at Mr M's and I have been using up meals/food in freezer.
Off to do some catch up reading on thread- hope everyone is well:)Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Jumblejack and SaveDosh - I agree with you about meat. I'm very picky about what I buy and where from. I sometimes buy from a lovely farmer at the local farmers' market. You can ask all sorts of questions about how the animals were reared (and killed if you're interested
) We have meat two or three times a week and fish maybe once or twice and the rest are veggie days.
cleggie - You only really need very basic equipment. A bun tin, a baking sheet and a cake tin, either square or round. Start off using the basic range of flour, sm's own marg, sugar and eggs. There are hundreds of recipes with these as the foundation, and you only need icing sugar, jam or dried fruit to make a different sort of cake. Have fun.
I've done my shopping for this week today, so I'll update my last week of the month's figures when I add them up! Hoping that overall I'll be within my target, as some weeks I was over but other weeks I came in under.2025 Fashion on the ration

wanted a NSD day here, but DH went out to get meds for me and ended up with Resolve for him and a large pack of tortellini for his lunch! Other than that, a gorgeous 3 course business lunch I wasn't paying for, and tonight DH has had bolognaise sauce from the freezer on a jacket spud and I've had a satsuma as I'm still full from lunch. Will try for a NSD tomorrow. I'm preparing myself for starting the June challenge too, and trying to learn from all you experts! Will definitely try the flatbreads as I think my kids would love them too.
Cleggie - do you perhaps know someone who would lend you some baking equipment so that you can build it up slowly? Lots of people have more than they need I expect.0
