We only got our cat in January, I hadn't thought of the Summer problem. She's a grazer too so probably won't buy too much more wet stuff for now.

I may sound organised, time will tell I guess lol ;)

Well , My first attempt at a grocery challenge failed in April, because I forgot to keep checking what I'm spending, I've decided to re join in June! And I have a notice board to help me! Keep track of reciepts and monitor the spending :)

It doesn't mean you have failed, just that you are still learning. :)

Cat food won't come out of this budget as i buy the same stuff each month really.i might look at buying tins of cat food instead of sachets. I buy own brand ones so will look into cost difference. Does anyone use tins and those big tins they look like they would last 2 days?

One tin of cat food equals 4 sachets so sachets are about twice the price. I buy the tins and put a lid on them and pop them in a polybag as well and keep in the fridge. Ive been doing that "forever"!
That way you can put just a little down at a time and pop the rest back in the fridge. Mine is also happy to eat it cold. When she was young I left out a handful of crunchies for her for the daytime in the summer(all year round realy) but she cant eat them well now.

NSD today-must get food to take to work tomorrow in advance. Lots in the cupboards so no problem!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

    Debt-free and Proud!
Today is my official start and not a good one yet £5.08 in Mr Ts for my lunch because I couldn't be bothered packing one last night. Never mind, I've got heaps of things in the cupboards so that should keep us going most of next week.

I've got 4 cats and they point blankly refuse any tinned food so it's all sachets, damn their little furry behinds!!!! But Asda had all felix pouches including the good as it looks on for £3 a box which is great and I stocked up last Saturday hopefully it will still be on this week!!

I am not going to disheartened by my increased GC total this month - I declare on Sunday. I feel it is good - 2 of us plus dog. We still have lots of stock in - just tend to run out of fresh stuff and things that are only bought occasionally like toilet rolls and rubber gloves.

Good for you Florenceem - I think you do a marvellous job on such a small amount of money - you are an inspiration to us all!

I however, am easily distracted.....DS1 is at a friends for a s/o, DS2 is at a friends birthday tea, and DD has a friend for tea and s/o (are you keeping up.....?).

Decided that I would buy pizza and garlic bread for DD and friend and as I was out all day visiting a friend myself, I stopped off at our local petrol station on the way home from school - the shop is now a M$S - very dangerous! Spent £6.75 on said pizza and garlic bread, plus gum and some yum yums :o

DH will be home late tonight, so we will be having a much deserved takeout (different budget).

    Sig updated.
