Parking eye!

Well, if you want to wind them up, just e mail them again asking how they got on with Parking Eye v Smith, Manchester County Court 2011.
(They lost well over £4,000 on that one) and tell them to put up in court or shut up. Hopefully you might get spared their chain of pathetic letters from them (boring) Roxburghe (asinine) and Graham (I'm not really a solicitor) White.
No, on second thoughts, make 'em lose money on postage.0 -
you could say I despise them just a tincee wincee bitgive_them_FA wrote: »Come on, stop sitting on the fence. Are you in favour of PPCs or not?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
hey rug bear...I really like your style of maths...no long multiplication going on there!...and that is the simple answer to all those doubters out there worrying about their threat-ogramms....demanding payment and for what??? free parking?...all you doubters should use rug bears advice agaainst these scamming diabolikal idiots....grrrr,there im down off the fence cos it got a bit sore up there...i suggest that PE..excel and all the other PPC companies will get sore when they get all those demands and threat0ogramms being ignored cos people are going to tell them effectively to "stuff them up their a@@e".
By jove these scammers should be hung, drawn and quartered0 -
esmerobbo, yes that's exactly the case mentioned. So no successful case since 2008 then!
I must admit that their psychology is quite sharp. I was so annoyed by their misrepresenting answer that I wanted to put them straight. Obviously this is what they want, to get into a dialogue. Well PE, if you're reading this, Kiss my A***!0 -
A lot of them quote that case. Truth is, it was only successful because it was a put-up job. Stephen Thomas was a stooge who deliberately lost; he never paid anything as a result because the whole exercise was just a fraud to frighten people.
The fact that they have to hark back four years to a fraudulent case which wasn't even theirs should be all you need to know about their statements.
They time they tried it against a real defendant they came an almighty cropper, as I cited above.0 -
hi all well a couple of months ago i worked for a next store in cowley/oxford (security guard)i never noticed the parking signs but the store mananger took my car reg and said i wouldnt get fined for parking all day so i thought no more of it until the £60 charge cropped up i e.mailed parking eye giving them store and manager details
reply said they wanted proof i worked there so took the paperwork to next they said it is not unusual for parking eye to ignore requests to cancel tickets but they would write to P E again now a month later the £90 charge has appeared so i sent P E a very strong e.mail explaining that next is a client of theirs and they need to listen to there clients and not threaten me or i will go to the press about the poor service they offer their clients and if they send baliffs/debt collectors round i will take the manager of P E to court just had e.mail back saying they will give me 14 days to provide proof
what a joke i think i'll call their bluff and sit it out0 -
I recieved a letter from parking eye on the 18.4.12 with a£50 fine if paid by the 29.4.12 it has pic of car and number plates we purchased a ticket for 2 hrs we stayed just over 1 hr as is stated in letter but we are to pay this fine because; by either not purchasing avalid ticket or by remaining at the car park for longer tha was permitted. This does not make sense to me
!! what are your views and should I just ignore this letter? It does not have photographic evidence of ticket just the time we came and went.0 -
Is this one of those where you are supposed to enter your car reg number when buying the ticket? If you put it in wrong the ANPR flags you up as not having paid.
As you did pay, just hang on to the ticket if you still have it;
but whatever the story is, it is an unenforceable charge. Do not reply, do not appeal, just ignore it.
If you do that, all you will get is a bit of junk mail, (look in the sticky near the top of the forum list for a preview) after which they will give up and go away.
Guaranteed.
If no-one tells them who was driving (I won't if you don't) there is sod all they can do anyway, and all their outlandish threats are just hot air.0 -
I received a parking eye ticket after being picked up from the docks in southampton. Th e boat I was travelling on was late and so went over the 30 mins which we didnt even know existed!!
They want to charge us £70 which I think is outrageous. I managed to get through to someone and they said they would keep it on hold for 14 days. However after reading all of these posts we have decided not to pay it, However I am worried that because I spoke them and they held it to 12 days are they now at an advantage???
please help as I am a massive worrier about this stuff
Thanks so much xx0
