Many thanks.
So should I resend the letter regarding my dispute recorded delivery or leave as they could say they didn't receive it??
If its a PO Box then normal delivery. If its not a PO Box then you can use signed for. However, they are required to act on your complaint in a defined way. So, you will know if they have got it within 7-10 days. So, I would use normal mail. Keep copies of everything.
If they run a client portal with details of your complaint (some CMCs do) then screenshot the page with the outcome for the original complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Use free proof of posting from a post office, it's accepted as proof by the FOS that the letter was delivered 2 days later if sent first class. The signed for stuff can be refused or dumped at the wrong place
Put on the envelope clearly "complaint" in capitalsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Hi after constant calls I gave in and used money reclaim experts based in Manchester. I have never heard from them again. But I got a text from goldman and knightly solicitors on the 7th April asking to contact them urgently as they have an update on my ppi claim. It stated they needed me to send in 2 proofs of I'd. I rang them.to find out who they are. They said they help money reclaim experts. I have never signed anything for goldman knightly to work on behalf of me. Is this right has anyone else dealt with these people before. They are hounding me everyday wanting paid and I haven't even received a cheque yet0

I foolishly got into a lot of debt and was in a terrible state about it, it was really affecting my mental health. I decided though that hiding from it would only make it worse so I contacted all my creditors and I pay them all back monthly. It's difficult but the debt is slowly coming down. Trying to get my life back
I was contacted by a PPI company and agreed to let them "have a go" to be honest I never thought they would be successful however they were.
When the bank contacted me and said they would pay the money into my account I couldn't believe it, it meant I could clear some of my debt off and I felt a weight lift from my shoulders as I used the money to clear the debt.
I knew there would be a fee to pay and I was willing to do that. However I was devastated when the PPI company sent their bill charging me 39% plus 20% VAT as a fee. I know I signed an agreement but I foolishly never read the whole thing because I didn't think they would be successful. Hindsight is a great thing but 39% :O!
Its not that I am not willing to pay it's just the amount, it seems unethical to charge people at such a high interest rate. The fault is mine for not reading the agreement properly! Is there anything I can do? I know from what I have read they are relentless in coming after people and they can get away with that. My credit rating has been awful but it's slowly getting better, I don't want to go to court.
I feel so stupid for not dealing with this correctly. Can I offer to pay them up monthly? I read somewhere that they should ask the bank for the charges but I don't see how that would work I don't even have a copy of the agreement, or is it a "contract" as they have told me, what is even the difference. It just feels as though I am back to square one only now with a company that are tenacious in their pursuit of their money.
The positive in this is that I have learned my lesson, albeit an expensive one. I will never use a PPI Claims company again!0 -

They charge a % of refund, it's not an interest rate.
No there's nothing you can do, you signed up to use their "service". 39% + VAT for a stamp and envelope, wow.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
