Which bank people? (Says he at 19:13 - from his "office"!)0 -
Not that most of us care as we can just laugh at them.
Mr Lewis is the one that is laughing here...all the way to the bank
He's making an absolute killing from the extra subscribers to his weekly newsletter generated as a result of the massive increase in web traffic from the promotion of a bunch of generic template letters.
His newsletter is a master lesson in affiliate marketing.
Better still, whilst he is carefully structuring his next mailout, which he knows will generate him thousands in affiliate commissions at the click of a button, he has all you super-duper-uber-mega-magnate,unpaid forum 'advisers' slaving away, dealing with all his customer support, content you are making him richer by the hour.
I can't stop laughing myself
Brilliant!0 -
So? You have a choice to click on the 'affiliate links' and as a W3 Schools HTML certificate holder and affiliate website owner, I don't actually see too many affiliate tracking redirect links in his newsletters (you can view yourself by viewing the page properties in notepad). There are some there, yes, I won't deny that, in varying forms of communications to consumers. But far less than you are claiming.
It doesn't cost you anything to click on an affiliate link though does it? How much does it cost you to go to a CMC? 000's if not 0000's. Get back in your box and moan somewhere else. Or, if you claim to offer advice, make sure it is constructive.Shirley

There is one thing you can't deny, Mr Lewis is affiliated to the Lenders in a BIG way.0 -
Sick of so (too) many ruddy daily spam CMC (ppi/debt/accident) marketing emails!!!
Tv is becoming awash with their ads.
Why did the MOJ license so many??
Some of these companies are sweet talking people into giving their credit/debit cards (saying it is for ID purposes) and then getting up-front fees and sometimes fees later on.
If only the information was there in black n white (a) upfront fees n charges and (b) % of your successful claim and VAT deductions (c) that you could do it yourself (well perhaps c is asking too much)0 -
I find it remarkably ironic that scum such as this have the nerve to involve themselves in the business of accusing others of mis-selling their products!0

I never said there weren't any. That represents about 1/2 of the links sent. (dont let the length of the paragrapgh fool you, some links are 2-4 lines long). Yes he makes money off of it, so does my affilaite travel business, what's your point that MSE makes money off of financial institutions? It actually reduces the amount made by the institution per sale when sold through an affiliate.
I luv cats - The MOJ shut down 700 CMC's last year :T.The public backlash on these companies is just gaining momentum, CAG, MSE, Which? The Sunday Express and BBC's Dont get done get Dom to name a few joining in. The companies are on a limited timeframe, in a few years these 'Claims managers' or 'Personal Claims advisors' will be back in the jobcentre looking for work...I can just the job interviews now, "So what did you do in your last job?", "Erm, i followed a letter template, ripped off old Doris and tried to defraud Mrs Jones with upfront fee's" :rotfl:Shirley

Since when has CAG joined in the public backlash of CMC's? They make most of their money by smothering their website in Google ads for PPI CMCs.0 -

I strongly suspect ppidisgrace, blindedbymediapropaganda and pickledeggs are all the same person. I'm quite amused by the idea of him staging these little conversations with himself while trying to add a degree of credibility to his claims. He could at least have put a little more effort in and created different writing styles for his 'characters'
