We as a company help those that are usually too busy or just prefer someone with experience to manage the claim for them and dont mind paying a fee.
You have no more experience in claims management than I or any of joe public do, reclaiming is a piece of p**s my 10 year old niece could do this, there is nothing "hard" or "difficult" about making a claim for mis sell, you do not need a degree in finance, just a post box, reasons for mis sell and a pair of legs to get you to the post box to pop the form in and bob's your uncle.
Even a Sar is not remotely tiring or uses many of the "little grey cells"
and certainly does not warrant a fee plus vat to someone who does not "work" for a living.

Just watched BBC Don't get done, get Dom

Case 1: Pensioner cold called several times & persuaded to reclaim ppi (up to £9,000) when she never had any ppi !!! They said there were no upfront charges YET they took £2170 from her credit card. After a fuss the company paid the money back. (they broke the rules by not sending out T+C's with a cooling off period before taking a payment and were told off/told to improve by the MOJ)

Case 2: Same company took £980 off a guy when he was told no upfront fees AND this CMC only managed to reclaim £333 from his bank leaving the guy out of pocket. After a fuss he got the difference refunded.

How many people are getting shafted by these chancers!!!!

How can we put a spoke in these chancers wheels??? (a) Public awareness (b) Name and Shame (c) ???

I never said there weren't any. That represents about 1/2 of the links sent. (dont let the length of the paragrapgh fool you, some links are 2-4 lines long). Yes he makes money off of it, so does my affilaite travel business, what's your point that MSE makes money off of financial institutions? It actually reduces the amount made by the institution per sale when sold through an affiliate.

I luv cats - The MOJ shut down 700 CMC's last year :T.The public backlash on these companies is just gaining momentum, CAG, MSE, Which? The Sunday Express and BBC's Dont get done get Dom to name a few joining in. The companies are on a limited timeframe, in a few years these 'Claims managers' or 'Personal Claims advisors' will be back in the jobcentre looking for work...I can just the job interviews now, "So what did you do in your last job?", "Erm, i followed a letter template, ripped off old Doris and tried to defraud Mrs Jones with upfront fee's" :rotfl:

I luv cats - The MOJ shut down 700 CMC's last year - where do you base this information on
great you want a world where the public get no representation, without cmc's there would have been no judicial review and the banks wouldnt have lost
tens of thousands have received their ripped off money back because of cmcs
and you cant accept banks rejecting an increasing number of claims, they have departments set up designed to find ways to reject claims and you think its good advice to tell people to go it alone on large financial claims where they have no experience having to trust the very people who ripped them in the first place, that is not good advice!

I luv cats didn't provide the information. It was davidh025c whom you quoted. Remember?

    FYI:

A freedom of information request to the MoJ’s Claims Management Regulation department has revealed that 734 businesses were ‘cancelled’ in the 12 months up to the end of March.

Another example: You owe the CMC more than you get back, how is that fair?

But one furious customer who we spoke to was awarded £2,365 compensation and not only did iSmart keep every penny, it demanded he pay them £890. That's because it based its 30% !commission not just on the money that he had already paid out on the PPI policy, but premiums that he would have paid in the future as well.

They found a string of firms charging a third or more of every successful claim:

Will the Government - which is set to collect up to £250million in VAT alone from future claims by PPI firms - have the stomach to act?

agreed total disgrace, redress should not include the future premiums cancelled, and MoJ should outlaw that

another negative cmc story though dropped into the media from the invisible hand, and to the uninformed such as some here, will use it as a stick to beat all cmc's , whereas most if not all do not calculate redress on the basis of future premiums cancelled, there is a case that the cmc did work to save them future premiums, but its just not fair to charge people as if they end up with nothing, or end up owing money as in ismart example, then totally unacceptable
golden rule, always know what you are entering into before you do it, and beware of ismart and any others who use this practice

i have already advised you that you obviously have not witnessed offers made by banks that unsuspecting customers would/could expect, but that knowing cmc's have managed to increase

i believe it was the number of claims being brought predominately by cmc's that led the banks to take the decision to try and challenge at Judicial review
