Hi
my oh is a bodybuilder too, we tend to get chicken breast / pork loin steaks on the 4 for £12 at tesco if we cant get to the meat market.
he usually buys all his powders etc from discount supplements, and their delivery is fast too and usually fab special offers.
He has me making him homemade meal replacement protein bars - you can find loads of recipes on line, every week il make a batch, they can be quite expensive in the shops .
Eggs arent a problem for us because his mum has chickens,
Tell your fella to look at Bulk Powders and http://www.myprotein.com/uk/ to see if he can save any money as they're unbranded and very high quality (I have used MyProtein for years).
I need a wife to make me protein bars, is there a section on here where I can find one?<<iguanapunk>>0 -

For cheap carbs, try Tesco Value spaghetti, less than 50p a pack and is a great "bulking" carb<<iguanapunk>>0 -
I need to add another supplement to my list:
Flaxseed. I need a daily intake of 3g a day, 2g max from supplementation apparently.
Are these any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flaxseed-Oil-1000mg-100-Capsules-Free-UK-P-P-TB-/270838142123?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Vitamins_Supplements&hash=item3f0f3614ab<<iguanapunk>>0 -

In the oven, Ig. with bacon and roast veg.
Mainly eat home grown stuff, including dried and green beans.
UHT skimmed milk (dried and wet) is the main protein plus eggs, pilchards and yogurts. Not all together lol.
Porridge as a filler. Never bread.
Did start to make a cost per protein gram chart but gave up.
I suppose people could do a regular diet sheet from the info on the pack/tin etc.
So minimum price for the protein/carb/vitamins including cooking costs .
Did marathons a while ago but a different sort of diet.0 -
Where the hell do you find ground flaxseed? Tescos/Sainsbury's don't seem to stock it in store. I'm using crushed almonds as a substitute but they're insanely high in calories - about 600 kcal per 100g.0

Buy golden or ordinary flaxseed in Holland and Barrett - stick it in a coffee grinder or spice grinder. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
