Now here's something, MyProtein sell "flavdrops" which you add to your shake for that extra dimension of taste. Would one of those Supercook extracts down the homebaking aisle be the same thing? I have 3x a day so I have to enjoy it. I plan to take it up to 4x for my bulk.
Does he use a blender for all of that? Or just a shaker?

Hi mate, 'the son' here :)
Not sure about those supercook extracts, but bulkpowders do a similar, if not the same 'flavdrop' product at probably the same kind of price. I've never used them unfortunately, so can't advise there.
I use a blender if I want to add stuff like fruit and peanut butter, but straight after a workout I'll usually just have milk, whey and ground oats in a coil shaker.

Personally, I have a real issue with artificial sweeteners, so on occasion I may chuck a spoonful of Nesquik in there (rather have a bit of sugar than the fake stuff), but unflavoured whey is fine with me.
I wouldn't take more than 3 shakes a day, personally I'd concentrate more on getting real food down, but obviously it's a matter of convenience and affordability.

I like MyProtein, been using them for years and never let me down, their prices are very competitive too. Yeah, natural is best, never really thought about the artificial sweetners before.

I do plan to get more whole food down, so the extra shake is in addition to that so I can get my calories right up as I am not a big eater (i'm getting better). I am not looking foward to it if i'm honest. I am more looking forward to the cutting phase that will follow.

I haven't got it yet, wasn't sure which one was best. This is one I am thinking about: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vitamin-D-3-5000iu-x360-Sgels-Colds-Flu-D3-5000-iu-/270850704908?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Vitamins_Supplements&hash=item3f0ff5c60c

Do you feel any different from using 5000iu a day?

I hear that mate. Preparing and eating all those meals can get a little gruelling, but your appetite does go up with your workload so it does get easier to shovel it down in time. Well it did with me anyway lol
Plus, it does help that because you have to eat so many meals, you can divide them into smaller portions.

I have found that a good shake first thing (after a couple of glasses of water) with say, a banana/kiwi, PB, oats and whey can often kill my appetite for hours. Not sure if that's a good thing, but it gives me a break from the kitchen

Best of luck with your program fella.

Food bargains have linseed for 40p for 500g at the moment. It's past its use by but it's fine.

    http://www.foodbargains.co.uk/products/GranoVita_Organic_Golden_Linseed_500g_3_For_1-15281-0.html

I bodybuild too - I grind the linseed in my blender with mixed nuts and sprinkle on my porridge.

And you could save money on the microwaveable rice. I buy a 40p a kilo value bag from Tesco and cook it all at once - then rinse really well in cold water and freeze 400g in tubs. One tub is 3 x 150 calories portions - I get one tub out the freezer a day and microwave a portion as needed.

    Chicken Breast (Stilton Butchers £25.95 - 5kg)
Sausage (Anything on offer at the time)

Eggs (ideally containing omega 3, but I use Tesco Value)
Whole goat milk (St. Helens Whole £1.39 - 1l)
    Rice milk (Rice dream £1.39 - 1l)

Swap chicken breast and sausage for chicken thigh. overall fat content will be the same especially if not eating the skin. You get more protein for your money.

Eggs - if your supplementing with flax (though cod liver oil is cheaper) i would not worry about flax in your eggs.

Goats and rice milk - can you drink cows milk as lots cheaper?

I did not think vit d had any ergogenic properties?

From your thread i am guessing your not indian descent wearing head to bottom clothing just showing your eyes?

your protein powder probably has it added?

I would probably add a multi-vitamin mineral tablet to your list.
