ok 5 times now I've tried...
1st time i tried using my current address and phone number they found my active account
2nd time Changed my post code and phone number a little but they couldnt find me on their system and wanted my viewing card number. Told me to call back later with the card number
3rd/4th/5th time used a friends address who has no sky but they kept giving me the same resopnse as the 2nd attmpt

what do i need to do ... :-(

i dont understand why ppl are not getting this i cancelled my sky in dec,i had no probs when i rang said free trial,was asked what channels i enjoyed having in feb,told him ,worked out 4 mixes would do with movies for sky plus! he asked for postcode which i gave him,phone number which i gave him and bank details all of which were on old account he asked for card number but couldnt get it too work so new card sent,maybe they have pulled their socks up since then but i really didnt have to lie about much!

Ok guys, can anyone help? I have an old sky box and remote and there is an existing dish on my house from when we bought it in 05. How easy its it to link up the box to the dish? Can anyone do it with a bit of common sense or will I need a specialist 'man' to come?!

I want to go for this offer but there's no point until I've made sure the box, dish etc are working.....?

Any help appreciated!

I have just rang up The only thing I told a porkie about was that they would have to bear with me as i was full of cold got the sympathy responce I wanted from doing this. Was told they would make it very quick as i sounded terrible and should be in bed.
Gave same details as present sky sub then was asked about card number she said are you near your box i replied no she said it diddnt matter as she would send me a new card out anyway has taking the old card number was more hassel than it was worth.
Gave me ref number and card will arrive in 3 to 5 working days. My sky sub runs out on 23rd this month so will activate the card then.

OMG, 2nd time trying, can tell phone lines are really busy there I got it. I gave a different name, they didn't have my address in the system and had to add it manually, (not sure how when I just cancelled at that address a couple of months ago). I said I was at work so they are sending out another card, and I gave a mobile number.
I think it probably matters more which CSO you get more than what details you give. Good luck!
