    Take your lead from them.

It was a natural progression for them to start locking the bathroom door and quickly cover up if we were in danger of seeing them naked.

I walk around naked a good deal of the time and it horrifies them!!
So with mine even though they are used to nakedness they still do not want to be naked in front of us.

Reading this thread I have images of all these people walking round in the nude! Do people really mean actually naked or in undies? When I was growing I can honestly say I never walked around completely starkers (I mean from an age when I can actually remember!) My Mum and Dad never walked around naked either, in undies yes, never totally naked!!
Yes, I'll happily walk around the house naked and don't have a problem which of my family members see me. My kids are 3 and 7 - it might become an issue when they hit their teens but for now I don't really care.

I had no problem with Mum and Dad coming into the bathroom when I was in the bath I think until I was around 10 and started to develop breast, then my Dad agreed to fit a lock to the door as I had older brothers and was always worried that they would come in the bathroom when I was in the bath!

If you are all walking around in the nude, I hope you have your curtains closed, or have blinds up!! :rotfl:

Its legal to walk around your own property naked without closing curtains etc. I admit, we do it all the time.

I wear clothes to be warm and to enjoy clothes, not just to cover my nakedness, and while there are certainly times i think clothes and dresscodes are of importance, my home is most of the time not one of those places.

My parents, not naturally comfortable with nudity, made great effort to make sure i was, i saw them naked a lot. It never, ever bothered me, until i realised how hard my dad found it to pretend to be comfortable in his skin and nothing else!

Dh had not spent much time 'naked' before me either, but now he does. I always feel, as a woman, its probably quite good for the health of our vaginas to give them some 'air time' and my mother always cautioned me nt to be one of 'those girls who wears knickers in bed' when i went to boarding school. Its advice i still usually follow, my night clothes are what i loll about in the evening in when its cold.

My and my OH dont parade about naked in front of our sons (6 and 8) but we dont hide our bodies either - they frequently (almost every time ) come into the bathroom when im on the loo, sometimes when im in the shower but dont seem bothered at all,

My youngest will shy away from other family members if he is without his pants on, my eldest will ask my mum if he can take his pants off in front of her to make sure she doesnt object as he much prefers to have nothing on once he is home,

I let them decide for their own bodies, and us for ours.

Just checked with my in house lawyer, (dh) who says this is not so. The case against you would have to prove you were trying to be seen indecently exposed.. The chances of this while just being naked in your own home while doing ordinary stuff are slim. presuming you are not standing in a road side window or behaving indecently in a visible place. Apparently this was studied on his law conversion some years ago:rotfl: in fact, he says in the dark recourse of his memory it is a public order law to deem some sort of inappropriate nudity as opposed to nudity illegal. But he says he is hazy on that, it not being his area of law :rotfl: and would defer to so eone with greater knowledge.

I have been seen by several postmen and many neighbours who have inadvertantly found me in the garden or peered through house windows. No one has ever complained!

Edit: dh keeps coming back to tell me more now. But he said the easiest way to understand it cannot be illegal to be naked on private and some property is that otherwise naturist/nudist venues and beaches would not be legal, and there are a fair few pulic owned nude acceptable places. He is now blathering on about why strip joints not generally being road facing because of the behaviour .....really, he is going to be proving this to me all night now i guess.

My son is 7years and would still happily walk round the house naked if i let him! Its too bloomin cold though for that lol...
In our house, we can have DH and DS3 wandering round with as little as possible on, and the rest of us wrapped up in thermals ... I swear their thermostats are broken.

both ... Actually DH is in heaven as we are currently here: he took his clothes off when we arrived, and doesn't intend to put them back on until we leave tomorrow morning!

Or live in a property which isn't overlooked. You can't see in if you come to our front door: you'd have to wander round the back, but that's not visible at street level either.

I reckon i gat seen more at first floor level when i forget and am getting dressed tbh. A ground floor level people would have to try to see in my house. The postman has an annoying habit of wandering around the house tapping on windows to get me to sign for packages. I explained why this migh offend him again in the future and he says it doesn't bother him if it doesn't bother me. Which is about the best compliment i have had from a man not my husband for a while:rotfl:

I don't walk around naked except perhaps from bedroom to bathroom and vice versa. I never use the lock on the bathroom door (unless my children have friends over)......in fact I rarely shut the bathroom door  My daughter is 21 and son 15 and it's never bothered them, however they prefer privacy, so I have to wait cross legged outside the door if one of them are in the bathroom. Damn selfish if you ask me :rotfl: They're both quite happy to come in and chat to me whilst I'm in the bath. I'm just mum....clothes or no clothes!

When i was a teenager, i remember sitting with the loo lid down having some right good convos with my mum while she was in the bath.

With boys its different though, mines a teenager and it would mortify the both of us if we caught a glimpse of bare butt haha
The opposite of what you know...is also true
