Wow. I thought puberty would make them self conscious and put a stop to all that. Shows how little I know! :o

I thought that too! They're just not bothered by nakedness at all and I've never said anything as I didn't want to make a big issue of it.

We were camping last year and the eldest went sauntering over to the shower block in just a pair of pyjama shorts and trainers. It was October and freezing cold as well, and he just casually said "evening" to the neighbours who were wrapped up in several layers of clothing and sitting round a fire pit. Their faces were a picture :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

My boys are 15 and 13 and they don't seem to care. They go wandering from bedrooms to bathroom in the nuddy and wander in when I'm getting dressed without batting an eyelid!

Same in our house. None of us are particularly bothered about seeing each other naked. We have use the bathroom at the same time sometimes as we only have the one between 5 of us. We've just always been relaxed about it.

My son has been locking the shower room door since he was about 10. I've tried telling him that nobody is going to come in and if he were to fall over in the shower we wouldn't be able to help him if the door was locked, but he isn't having it.

If he catches me in the altogether, he averts his eyes pretty fast. Mind you, he's nearly 20 now.

Oh and it's way too cold to wander round naked.

My 15year old wouldn't have been caught dead without being fully clothed a couple of years ago, he's less self-conscious now though and will happily trot around in his boxers (never nude though)

And for some reason his 10 year old brother absolutely HAS to go to the loo when I'm either in the bath or shower

We rebuilt our bathroom 8 years ago and never got around to putting on a door! So our teenage boys don't have the luxury to be shy and prudish. LOL.

My son is 7years and would still happily walk round the house naked if i let him! Its too bloomin cold though for that lol... toilet-wise, my OH has never seen me on the loo and never will, and vice-versa. Some things i dont feel the need to share with him lol.... son though will wander in whilst i am on the loo and he leaves the door open when he goes lol.

We have had to insist recently though that he makes sure he always wears boxers when downstairs as our front room has a big window which people can see into from the street - now he is getting older, want him to realise that not "everyone" gets to see your bits, they are private etc.
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I am 29 and if my sisters come to stay they will come for a chat while I am in the bath and vice versa. They are both in their early 20s.

When we stay at my mothers we will probably all see each other naked at some point. When we do the bathroom dash or desperate for a drink in the early hours. When my father was alive it was the same with him but it isn't seen as weird and nobody is embarrassed.

It has been a little wierd for OHs, mainly because we are so used to it that accidental flashing does happen. My poor OH has had to close his eyes numerous times to avoid seeing what can't be unseen :D

I have accidentaly flashed my sisters friend. I was on the bathroom dash without my glasses and it wasn't until I was at my door that I realised it wasn't my sister who was sitting in her bedroom doorway. I felt sorry for the friend because she was also flashed by my Mum, Dad and other sister. Doors are now closed when guests are round. I should add that the friend came round in the early hours unannounced, we do try to be more clothed when people are round, and it is only early mornings that this happens.

I think it is healthy, it has definitely helped when I have been in hospital and when my family have been in hospital. We don't have the added embarrassment of being seen naked by health care professionals because we just don't care.

Reading this thread I have images of all these people walking round in the nude! Do people really mean actually naked or in undies? When I was growing I can honestly say I never walked around completely starkers (I mean from an age when I can actually remember!) My Mum and Dad never walked around naked either, in undies yes, never totally naked!!

I had no problem with Mum and Dad coming into the bathroom when I was in the bath I think until I was around 10 and started to develop breast, then my Dad agreed to fit a lock to the door as I had older brothers and was always worried that they would come in the bathroom when I was in the bath!

If you are all walking around in the nude, I hope you have your curtains closed, or have blinds up!! :rotfl:

If you don't make a big deal out of nudity then they won't care. That strikes me as a far healthier attitude than sexualising nudity.
