  • Be Lucky,

So glad you all enjoyed your weekend away at the "Holiday House ".

Glad you had a chance to relax.

The Toothbrush story made me giggle, isnt it amazing what little things please the children isnt it ? I remember DD2 had one stickle brick that she would carry everywhere. She would chat to it ten to the dozen, and I swear she was convinced it answered back ! :rotfl:

Hope all goes well with the scan tomorrow x

    Hello Be Lucky, :hello:

Am so glad to hear you and your family had such a lovely break at the 'holiday house' - very well deserved. :T

Also hoping you get more good news later today - will be thinking of you :) xx
  • Thank you everyone!

Lol at the stickle brick PG :rotfl:. Of all the things! DS1 has two cuddly rabbit toys which are his favourites. He goes through stages of putting them away as he is 'too old' for teddies now, and then they miraculously find their way back to his bed. They came away with us at the weekend too! DS2 has no loyalty to any one toy, preferring to 'share the love'! I hope this is not an indicator of his love life when he is older :rotfl:.

We were out last night for my Auntie's surprise 50th meal, all bought and paid for by her daughter, my cousin. It was great to be with everyone and even better to not have to pay! They all said I look much better so hopefully that's an indicator of the scan later today. Can you tell I'm clutching at straws??!!

Good luck with the scan, I hope it goes well for you!

You made me laugh at the 'no loyalty to one toy' comment. Hopefully the lad doesn't spread the love too much when he's older :rotfl:

  • Scan wasn't clear but what is left in there has moved right down my womb to the top of my cervix ready to come out, so they've suggested I give it another week to come out naturally before they do the d&c. They also suggested I do some trampolining :rotfl:.

Busy day yesterday as my Mum got new windows and doors fitted so we went to help her put blinds and curtains etc back up and tidy up. She then repaid the favour by babysitting the boys last night so we could go to a concert. It all stems from when DH's best friend bought us N1cleback tickets at £40 each earlier in the year, so to somewhat repay the favour we bought him, his girlfriend, his daughter and ourselves tickets to see R0yal Republic. We got the better deal though as these tickets were only £7.50 each :D. It was a brilliant night as it was a tiny gig and we were only a couple of feet from the band. :j

Today we are spending time with MIL as she seems a bit down. Hopefully will get some more bits if christmas shopping done too. Can't believe its only 5 weeks!!

sounds like you had a good eve and an MSE one too! £7 gig tickets is pretty impressive!

Hope everything resolves itself healthwise.. and that your MIL picks up soon

    Have a good week!

  • Thanks Brizzle! MIL seems happier now and she bought me some fab boots for christmas (which I'm allowed now as I'm desperate for new ones) so I'm happy too :j.

It's double staff discount day at work today & tomorrow so I've managed to get a couple of things at bargain prices for Santa. One thing DS1 wanted was reduced already from £40 to £25 & then I got it for £20 which is brill :T

Decided to start afresh at fat class tonight as I've been too focused on what I've gained rather than what I've lost. New books, new start and hopefully new figure soon!!
