Miserable day here today. Is it like this all over the UK???! But can't be too sad as DDs are with M&D so going out tonight! Weyhey!! Have just swopped booking to a cheaper restaurant too..

Thanks Brizzle!
It's been bright but freezing cold here today. Hope you have a fantastic night tonight XxBe Lucky, I've sent you a pm..
Thank you for your wonderful pm *Robin*, I have replied Xx
Took the boys to soft play this afternoon and then I've been at work tonight which was busy but not ridiculous. We have new uniforms at work and I look like a deckchair in it.
Still haven't come to any decisions re the hospital XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

A nice normal day so far today!!
We were given some furniture this morning by a friend who has just downsized into a new house. We will be keeping most of it but she said to eb@y everything we don't want :j
We then took the boys for a walk around Northumberlandia. This is a giant human landform sculpture of a reclining lady and is free to walk around. The views are fantastic and you'd never guess it was only created to restore land excavated for coal. The only down side was that it suddenly poured with rain when we were about 10 mins away from the car so we all got soaked!
We used that as a good excuse to go home and get wrapped up warm for a movie afternoon at home. All for the grand sum of 99p for a bag of popcorn at the local shop!
MIL & DH have taken DS1 to his karate tonight so DD2 and I have had some quality time. I'm feeling very lucky today that I have such a wonderful family XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

..Have you? Thanks - oh yes I can see - will read it now.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I've been at work tonight which was busy but not ridiculous. We have new uniforms at work and I look like a deckchair in it.
..Bet you don't!But if all your work-mates agree the new kit is unflattering, could you go en mass to ask the supervisor if the bosses will reconsider (and let you wear the old uniforms again)?

Then that is a decision; let nature take it's course ((hugs)).please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I'm feeling very lucky today that I have such a wonderful family Xx
You do! ..Feel the love and be happy that you are not walking your life's path alone - glass half full and all that.
Northumberlandia sounds good - when I lived in NewCassle I was really impressed with the way the council adapted old industrial eyesores to become new facilities for everyone - remember with fondness exploring miles of ex-railway track that had been transformed into lovely easy walks for anyone with a push-chair (with child-friendly pubs at convenient intervals.).

I didn't realise you had lived here Robin? Love your spelling
, sounds just right!
We all hate our uniforms but it's been rolled out across all the stores so I doubt very much they will be changed back again.. They are candy stripped, so it's a toss up between a deckchair and a stick of rock :rotfl:. They also have no pockets, which is ridiculous when we have certain things like staff cards and locker keys to carry around. Just proves the wrong people make the decisions!
I think I might wait until my next scan and see if nature intervenes, as I can't fit a procedure in to my diary before then anyway due to DH's appointments. If nothing has changed by then I'm leaning towards the medicated procedure. Sort of ....Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oh that is good news Be Lucky! At least it removes one stress and gives DH time to work on his recovery. Am sure the extra money will come in handy, too.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I didn't realise you had lived here Robin? Love your spelling , sounds just right!
I did indeed; Jesmond then S. Benwell. The former was great, the latter a nightmare! Narrowly missed a move to the Byker Wall but decided a return to the countryside suited me better.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »We all hate our uniforms but it's been rolled out across all the stores so I doubt very much they will be changed back again. . Hmm, bad design - go on, write a paragraph explaining the faults and get as many co-workers to sign it as possible. Management can be so far away from the reality they sometimes need reminding - and if they're any good themselves will appreciate someone showing initiative; could put yourself in line for promotion!please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I think I might wait until my next scan and see if nature intervenes, as I can't fit a procedure in to my diary before then anyway due to DH's appointments. Yes, sounds like option 3 might work best for you if there's been no progress before your next scan - insist on effective painkillers for the duration though! (((more hugs))) (and thanks for your lovely reply).

It certainly will! He has been awarded lower rate mobility and middle rate care, so it makes a big difference. It has been given for 2 years so gives DH plenty of time to get himself better, providing the government don't pull it of course!I did indeed; Jesmond then S. Benwell. Oof what a shame for you to go from Jesmond to Benwell . Yes, the countryside would have been my choice over the Byker Wall too.

I might just do that.

We've had a lovely day today
. Firstly we went to the cinema to see Madagascar 3 which was fantastic, and even better as we went for free :j. This was due to a free Gr0up0n credit which I spent on 2 cinema tickets a while back, and then enough points on my 0de0n loyalty card to get a further 2 free tickets. We also took my cousin's boy with us but his Grandma (my Auntie) paid for his ticket.
Afterwards we took them to McD0n@lds but my Grandma paid for the boys!
Late afternoon we called in on MIL for an hour and then went to DH's best friend's house as he'd bought fireworks for the boys and lit a bonfire. More free entertainment and great fun had by all.
After thawing out and putting the boys to bed we've just sat infront of the tv. Happy days XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
