  • MiT that's exactly what I should have! Don't know if I've got enough loo rolls to cope with that though :rotfl:.

Sparky, it's a fine line between treating DH as an adult and keeping him safe! I'm so pleased it worked out ok.

Speaking of DH, he got weighed this morning and has gained 5lbs this week! The writing is on the wall for me at fat class later then, coz he can get away with many more calories than I can without gaining weight, so the fact he's had a mahoosive gain means I'm screwed!!

Just completed my tax credit renewal online :T. Another thing ticked off the list :j.

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!! :j

SO... I love you Lucky. I mean actual bonafide love. I have been missing from the forums since March in terms of reading anyone elses diary. In your diary, that equated to 527 posts I had missed! So I began at the start and got all the way to page 190. Where I fell in love with you. It may have been 189. Either way I owe you a drink.

You started talking about Warm Homes. I googled as I had heard of it and then not bothered to do anything about it last year. It turns out I wasn't eligible last year but I am this year and next March can expect a whopping £140 into my electricity account!!!!! <3

THEN the super helpful lady from NP**er (yep I really used those words and that company together) told me to contact the Green Deal number and next week I have an appointment for someone to come and assess my cronky 15 year old boiler to be replaced with a shiny new one for free because I am also eligible for this! And MAYBE other bits of energy improvements. Even thought I rent... My landlord is over the moon with me so IF I get it he will love me forever haha! For me, it means that it shouldn't cost me the earth to heat this terrible flat again this winter. And I can feel happy knowing I won't be poisoned overnight by an ancient boiler. :T

So all in all yet again, super practical, super organised, super patient and all around super hero Lucky has come to yet another random persons rescue. If you were close by I would KISS you. Accept internet snoggers and snuggles instead *MWAH*:T

As for the rest, on I go to catch up with more. Will comment again (or edit this one but in reality it will probably have moved on 2 pages by the time I catch up in 10 minutes time ) x

  • Oooh I could kiss you back Lilt! Cheered me right up that has . Congratulations on the Warm Homes acceptance and potential new boiler :T.

Hope you and Jellytot are doing ok Xx

I am replying, although I feel like a double-posting monster because only your reply is in the middle. Still, there is space and time between posts. That counts right?!?!

I caught up..! I squeaked, cheered, filled up with tears and pulled many  faces. I'm glad I am sat here alone. Only me to give myself funny looks and a little giggle in the wardrobe mirror.

SOOOOOOOOO happy about Support Group, £500, extra money each week and all the other fab things that have happened. Sad to see that waves of fear are small seizures, and everything else trying your patience with DH, DS1 especially and illnesses.

And as for the weight loss... W-O-W. That's incredible. How far are you from 'target' and free weekly weigh ins now? Do you just get weighed in or stay for the group as well? My mum does it and find the group is what helps her the most, as well as giving her a bit of social life with like minded people. I read a few times that you have had some time alone apart from DH with the boys etc. Don't forget that you need time alone alone as well. I know how difficult that could be to achieve, but there are sure to be places that could care for DH for a few hours, with trained professionals etc on hand. Did you ever hear back from Headway?

Weird weird side note regarding the cat sick. Does she do it in the same place or the same room? I had the most odd advice from the vet ref my cat and being sick & pooing in places on the carpet. She told me to mix a bit of surgical spirit, (you can get it from pharmacies, S*perdrug etc for a £ or so (a capful) with some biological washing powder (mixed with warm water to dissolve it) or the washing gel/liquid etc. And to rub this mixture into the carpet where it had been. She said it was the only thing that eradicated the smell completely, killing the germs and also killing off any associations the cat may have with it. It worked in my house, but obviously with new carpets, test patch a bit first!

As for me and Jellytot, will update my diary soon I promise. I've 'bulged' or partially slipped and torn my 3rd disk in my back in 8 months. Lots of pain, massive volumes of painkillers, ultrasound therapy and physio and not really feeling any better at all. Jellytot is faberoonie although a little horror tonight after nursery. I may be coming to you for tips on potty training. She doesn't want anything to do with the potty or the toilet. She will happily sit there for a bit, or sit with her feet dangling into the potty most of the time, and then get up, walk away and immediately do her business on the floor with a comedic chorus of 'OH DEEEYYYAAAA, OHHH NOOOOO, MESSSS!' I envision her in nappies at her wedding at this rate.

Lots of love to you. Honestly you cheered my day up massively, with your unwitting helpfulness and your lovely news. I lost £10 to a stupid error yesterday and vowed to make it back. I think £140, even delayed until next March makes up for it. xx

  • You post as much as you want Lilt! I have loved both of your posts and look forward to reading more of them!! I'm glad you got so much from my diary, I often worry I just post boring monotonous stuff :o.

Unfortunately I still have quite a way to go with my weight loss, probably a minimum of 3 more stones :o. I love the social aspect of fat club though, and I always stay to class if possible. I'm the 'weigh in lady', so it's lovely to know everyone by name and have a giggle. Most weeks it's my only social life!!

    I didn't hear back from Headway :(.

Cheers for the tip re the cat. She isn't picky over where she pukes, but I shall certainly try out the mixture next time (after patch testing as you suggest!!).

Ouch to the back :(. My Cousin suffered similar to you and she was practically crippled so I feel very sorry for you. Hope you feel better soon.

:rotfl: to Jelly getting married in nappies :rotfl:. I think the best advice I was ever given is that 'nobody puts on their CV what age they were potty trained'. It's not a race and they all do it eventually. Before you know it she'll be trained and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. It is frustrating though, I know Xx

Oh dear to your boys paying for stuff on the xbox, I hope it was a good game he downloaded! Have you thought about deleting the game as the form of punishment? It might bring it home to him far more than losing the money?

I thought about deleting it Chev but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It's bad enough that he bow has no money left for the summer holidays, but to not have anything to show for it either goes against my MSE principles!! :o Besides, I think once you've paid for something it can just be re downloaded again for free if it gets deleted Xx
