As long as you enjoyed them MiT
. Ps I love that you can see I've lost weight :rotfl:. Does my typing look skinnier?! :rotfl:.
Buffy thank you for your kindness re the weight loss. The boys love the Easter trail so I've landed myself an annual event! I think up rhyming clues and send them around the house (up and down the stairs as many times as possible to wear them out ). Each clue has an egg with it and eventually it leads to a main 'prize'. DS1 got a game he's been after and DS2 got Lego. I don't spend a lot but they know I send money to the Easter Bunny to cover what he brings. Same deal as Santa.
Today we've been to another National Trust place to partake in another Easter egg hunt. We haven't been to this place before so it was a great day out exploring. Unfortunately DH started to feel 'weird' so we came home. Not convinced he wasn't just hungry though as he's eaten since we got back and he's perked up.
Called to the cemetery to say Happy Easter to my Goddaughter. Still so sad to see all the trinkets and things her we pals and sisters have left. 16 is no age at all.

Sounds like you've had a great Easter Lucky! So sad about your Goddaughter - can't even begin to imagine how her parents are feeling. Mr Lucky and food sounds like Mr SA and food. It must be something to do with brain damage? He never used to be this bad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

SA her Mum only keeps going because she has other little ones to care for. She says if M had been her only one she'd be with her now
. Such a cruel thing to happen. Xx

Today we've been to see the Sooty Show with the tickets I won. I must admit I didn't exactly have high hopes for it but it was fantastic!! I thought we'd practically be the only ones there but it was a sell out show and packed to the rafters!! It was really well done and I'd recommend it to anyone. The boys are now Sooty fans despite not knowing anything about him before I won the tickets (and I still have a soft spot for Sweep
).
Called in to see my cousin on the way home as she has a boy a bit older than DS1. He's grown out of more clothes so we came away with 2 big sacks of stuff :T. She saves me so much money, I don't know what I'd do without her! The clothes are then passed on to DS2 also.
Other than that we've had a pretty chilled out day and just got things ready for back to school tomorrow. Can't believe the holidays are over already! 5 weeks until the next one!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I've one more day with the two smaller ones here and it seems that I'm about the only parent I know that is happy *confused* I love spending time with the kids and hate it when they go to school all day
Although saying that I am looking forward to a few hours peace at the same time
P.s 2 and half stone is a fantastic achievement don't let anyone undermine that! I lost 2 stone after ds2 and 1 stone went back on within a few months-still haven't got rid of it
so you're doing fab in my books!!!

I loved having my kids at home, used to save my change in a tin during term time (like 1p,2p,5p etc), this was used to buy ice creams and treats. Just simple things like going to the park and forest . It annoys me when I hear parents moaning about school hols, why do they have kids if they don't want them around. Yes mine did have fights and arguments and days of staying in when the weather was bad but its part of being a parent.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

I agree Amber, I had 2 texts from friends yesterday asking what day the kids were back and I told them Weds and they were both fuming! They thought it would have/should have been today and when they found out that they had to entertain their own kids for one extra day they were not happy ! These two friends are both stay at home mums like me too, so it's not like they were angry at having to pay for child care or anything lol, I found it quite funnyMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I LOVE having the kids off school too. So gutted they went back today, could have happily kept them off longer.
So while they were both at school today DH and I went shopping for new shoes for him and finally we were successful. We also went shopping in Primarni for new shorts and summer clothes for him as he's lost so much weight since last year nothing fits!
This afternoon I phoned to chase up the Mandatory Reconsideration with DWP. Their supposed timescales are 14 days and it's been 21, although I appreciate that includes Easter. Apparently they are currently servicing MR's received on 14th March and our was received 2nd April so they are still 2 weeks away from looking at it:(.
Our next appointment with the Work Programme people is next week, so to be honest that's why I was keen to get the MR done, in the hope it would be successful and we wouldn't have to go! They still haven't responded to our complaint so I also called the MP's office today. The MP hasn't had a reply from them either so they were going to chase that today or tomorrow and get back to me. I'd like some sort of resolution before next week, though as it's already been 2 months, I'm not holding my breath!
Decided to go through my wardrobe and try some stuff on that I had previously grown out of. Most of it fits again :j. It's like getting free clothes. I have also been brutal and I have a pile of stuff to weigh in. If it didn't look anything spesh, it's out the door!!!
And to end the day on a high, I've lost a pound at fat class tonight :T. The pity party hasn't come back to bite me on the bumXx
